DON't WORRY!

I gave up a LONG time ago. I have 12K miles on my car and it is impossible to control. Seems everybody wants to cut this Camaro off and the car does NOT want to go slow........

I have 22,000 miles and about 10-12 chips so I guess I'm averaging a chip every 2,000 miles.

Never owned a car that saw paint chip like this.

I have 2 chips on my car (4100 miles), one is on the hood, and another is on the passenger side top of the front bumper. both are well through the paint and I need to have both pieces repainted if I want a pristine paint job for shows.

I think it's the water based paint they are using per the EPA. My wife already tore the front bumper up and it had to be repainted by the dealer. They did an awsome job and the paint seems so much more durable than before. Dealer did not use a water base to repair the damage BTW.

People, I have had several show trucks with custom paint jobs with lots of clear coat and here is a news flash... IF YOU DRIVE IT, YOU WILL GET CHIPS!!! If you dont want chips, leave it in the garage or sell it. If you put your car in the garage and dont drive it, all your doing is saving it for the next person to enjoy. DRIVE YOUR CAR!!! Shit happens.

I have had over 150 collector cars with nice and /or new paint and these cars chip way worse than any of them. Gm cut corners in materials or in procedure.. plain and simple. I am picking up a new challenger R/T this weekend and i have been all over the challenger forums and dont read anything about paint chipping issues over there. the cars are painted in Canada.. U.S enviromental laws don't apply there.

I was originally under the thought about the gill chips that it may just be the design of the body. How it flares out, and it may be the front tires kicking stuff up. But wow dragrcr do you ever have a lot of chips.

4000 miles on my GT500 and not a single chip. I've seen small stuff bounce off it while driving too and have some small windshield pits. I'd say GM ought to look into it. My 6 year old GMC truck has less chips than some of the Camaros in these pictures.
