What is better a full performance exhaust or exhaust cut outs. Can exhaust cut outs hurt your car?

When you refer to exhaust cut outs are you talking about open headers?

You may not know, but perhaps CA peeps can chime in.
Hmm I am not postive about this but high flow cats should pass emissions in CA. There should be no reason why it doesn't. You are still running cats and if you have no CEL on there shouldnt be a problem then.

Question about mufflers (or lack thereof). There are LOTS of people here encouraging muffler deletes or straight pipes, but practically every state in the nation requires mufflers and are illegal without them. Have I missed something or are there literally thousands of people running illegal cars and encouraging others to do the same to save a few hundred bucks over an axle back?

Supercharger Question

Why is it that when you reduce pulley size (3.8 to 3.2), you create more boost? What is specifically happening inside the S/C to create the higher psi?

**I think I may have figured it out. Is is because the smaller pulley is acting like a smaller "gear", thus spinning the lobes (roots style) faster, thus creating more psi's?

First, thanks so much for your offer!! It really means a lot to us newbies!! I certainly will be taking advantage of the offer.

My question is have you heard any feedback on the K&N Cold Air Intake Kits (63 series)? I saw the results from the Jannetty Racing tests, but K&N was not in their lineup.

Thanks for this thread!!

Heres mine:
I keep hearing about "porting" and "Stroking" (Stroked engine).
What does this all mean? What is done to the stock engine, and what does it acheive?

Honestly, muffler deletes or straight pipes are cheaper way of making your car louder instead of buying a proper exhaust system. Much cheaper and you get a more direct and throatier sound. Alot of people argue about the loss of compression from the exhaust but you might see a loss of low-end torque but nothing surprisingly noticeable. btw people seem to have an annoying drone at highway speeds so beware. and yes it is illegal to run no muffler you just have to know people.

OK, good to know I wasn't confused about that.

Next question is about suspension. Besides aesthetics, what are the main drivability differences between lowering springs, sway bars, diff (and/or subframe) bushings and trailing arms? Which order should these be done to improve launch and cornering? I'm curious how each of these affect the car.

I'll just pigging back on Viral's question. What are the best lowering springs (average cost also) and installation procedures? Do you know if they affect any part of the warrenty also?

What is the purpose of an oil catch can, does it make a difference and is it worth it?

GOOD STUFF!

With the straight pipes.. Im assuming that will void the warranty ? yet it would give the camaro the loudest advantage over mrt 1.0's?

(im looking for the loudest/ then comes performance preferences)

Its my cars bday next month and I wanna surprise it
