How is this NEWS to GM??? Of course the enthusiasts are going to lean towards the SS. Once the general public becomes aware of the car, more of the LS and LT cars will be sold.

GM needs to revise their thinking of the initial build percentages!!

This is about the time Fbodfather needs to chime in and reasure us all that GM isn't completely incompetent and understand that those of us rushing out to order them are the enthusiasts and will settle for nothing but the V8.

Hence, they have thought about that and will have ample supply of LS3s, stockpiled, ready for initial orders. Right Scott????????

Maybe that's why we've heard a LOT more about the V6 early on. Get people enthused about the V6 to even things out right out of the gate.

If more V8 Camaros are ordered at first then they should be built first. I think GM would rather have 16% pissed off than the 84% of their customers, if this info is true.

I hate to say it guys but if Chevrolet screws this one up, I might just go pick up a G8 GXP that is already on the lot and heavily marked down or....I almost puke thinking about it.....a Mustang.........Chevrolet can't afford not to capatalize on this one. They have to get this one right. It just doen't make sense to not have enough SS' to go around and piss off us enthusiasts who are not only going to buy these vehicles but basically be advertising for GM. Us Enthusiasts will promote them and spread the word...they gotta know this! Don't piss us off, I'm a fanboy just like everybody else on this board but you can only get slapped around so much before you bail...just ask Tina about Ike!

Great info TxTurbo! At least now we know that the allotment the dealers have is based on a 20,000 build and that they were only planning on building 20K from February through September. Assuming that is true, 30% of the years production run has been ordered by the enthusiasts! Wow!

Good point and if they cannot change the build mix to suit the demand then they have an internal process that needs to be corrected and then implemented so that they can deliver what is being asked for.
