I don't think it's fair to lump all online retailers in the same boat. Sonix Electronics is the best retailer I have encountered on ebay. They ship the same day and gave me positive feedback the second I payed (didn't wait for me to give them positive feedback). I haven't had to deal with any warranty issues but all my gear from them was definitely new and not refurbed.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Topdown, Droid6, 2010SLVRBULIT, Alfieboy I am glad to hear that y'all had good experiences with them. So far I am leaning more in their favor.

Firewolff what about the extended warranty that they are offering on their site? They are offering a 3 year and and a 4 year extended warranty. Shouldn't that cover everything? I would probably want to get an extended warranty on something like this.

Tried to buy something there a week ago. Either the dip at the sales desk didn't know what he was talking about or they were intentionally trying to sell something that would not work. I decided not to buy from them.

Only issue I have ever had with them is when I was trying to buy wire for my 01 Silverado a few years back. It took them like 3 weeks to ship the wire they stated they had in stock. Everything was fine once I got it, but there was little communication from them as to what the hold up was. Other purchases from them have gone smooth as glass...no issues to speak of.

Okay good feedback everyone! There's still more good posts than negative for Sonic Electronix so that's a plus.

Has anyone ever had to get some warranty work done? Since people are saying no warranty.

I haven't got the unit yet. If Sonic Electronix is the place some of you all shop what are some other good online stores (that are authorized sellers).

I just bought from Sonic Electronix on June 28 2010. I got an Alpine PDX-5 Amp, 2 sets of Alpine SPS-600c components, Alpine SWS-1043D subwoofer, Audio Control LC6i six channel line output converter, Stinger 4 gauge amp wiring kit plus a few other accesories for around $1100. I went for the 1 day shipping because I wanted to install it before the 4th of July weekend. From their shop in California to my front door in the middle of nowhere in northern Wisconsin was about 16 hours. I had some install issues and they were very helpful when I called them with questions. Crutchfield would of charged me $600 more for the same exact setup because they are an authorized dealer. When something goes wrong, 9 out of 10 times it's something the customer does wrong. EXAMPLE: I blew 2 out of 4 tweeters because I didn't read my Actual Test Measurement Certificate for my 5 channel Amp. Box says 75 x 4, and 300 x 1. The certificate says 106 x 4, and 408 x 1. Got 2 replacement tweeters for $45. Still $565 cheaper then Crutchfield. All in all it was a pleasant experience buying from Sonic.

I bought a powered sub for my Tundra from Sonic Electronix and had no issues. Prices are great IMO.
