So I'm not the only one. A while ago when my wife's '99 Lumina LTZ need brakes all around we had a large local Chevy dealer do the work. About 6 or 7 months ago the fronts needed new pads. I too kept breaking tools and just could NOT get them loosened. So I called up my buddy who's good with frozen bolts. After heating things up with a blow torch we finally got them to break free.
The problem: Flippin' moron who did the brake work AT THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP had used RED LOCTITE on the caliper bolts. And people wonder why I don't like having others work on ANY of our cars! |
