well, JJ chevy has contacted me twice promising a quote but nay, nothing and we're going on 3 weeks.... I know if I was selling something and some one asked me "how much" I'd be pretty quick to tell them. I'm just interested to see how close they can get to my other quotes-

When I was buying my 2500 HD Diesel I called JJ Chevy and was told I would have to pay over invoice because they were the only dealership within 2000 miles (yes 2000, no 200, no 20....2000) that had the diesel 4x4 crewcabs available. Needless to say I bought it elsewhere.

...and their service department isn't much better.

When I get my vette...I'm ordering from Becky!

SpaceLord, how did you get the plate by DMV? Very nice! Have you posted it in the personal plate formums threads?

Janine Richardson from internet sales at Jimmie Johnson worked with me. she was very knowledgeable and friendly. returned my calls twice within a hour and researched the car i was after. so not everyone that works there is bad.

update:

July 13 I got this from Jimmie Johnson salesman:

"I will have to get a price for the heritage grill from parts, and body shop to paint the ground effects. I will get your quote put together and send it to you it wont be today."

It's July 29th and NOTHING. I guess when he said it won't be "today" he was understating it quite a bit.

I guess one thing you can say for the forum dealers, they dont have to wonder whether or not you are really interested. I guess any other dealer has to make an assessment of that when you walk in.

Bob Stall

Bought my 2LT RS off the lot in May from Bob Stall " Matt" Happy with the deal and just took it in for the first oil change yesterday, I waited for the car and they got it taken care of quickly and had me out in an hour.
So far all's good with Bob Stall. Cranked the car up to 100mph+ to try out the new oil, worked great.
PS Matt is ex military fyi.

Its real hit or miss with all these dealers. It depends on who answers the emails.

I was contacted by Joe from Jimmie Johnson within about 5 minutes of inquiring through their website. Ended up buying from him.

wow... haven't seen this thread in a while.

final outcome::::

ordered from Bob Stall and paid $2,500 UNDER sticker.... (which is about $1,000 lower than the best quote from any other San Diego Dealer and about $5,000 less than what Ron Baker started at... .then once they found out I qualified for the Military Discount it took the price down to MSRP...)
