It breaks your heart to know that they are trapped and most of the time they have no way to tell people. It's wonderful that she has found a voice to the world.

Awesome video. Thank you.
I have a grandson who is severely autistic. He is 12 years old now, and will never be able to function on his own. He can make sounds that sound like a few words, but other than that, communication is pretty much absent. Yes, it is heartbreaking. It is difficult for my daughter to deal with it. But you do what you have to do. His father could not handle it, and they are no longer together. The hardest part for her is the future for him, especially when she is gone. Many people have told her to put him in an institution, but she can't do it. She always feels that there is hope, there is someone out there who can help him. They know so little about this condition. Its prevalence is alarming. They need support. http://www.autismspeaks.org |
