For those who emailed GM, did you go to GM's general site and ask or did you go to the suppliers site and ask? Reason I ask is because there have been conflicting reports from these two with the people from GM's general site saying yes it will be offered and the people from the suppliers site say it's not yet determined.

My thought process is more like "is it worth waiting a few months to save $1500?"

The reason I am buiying from the dealer I am buying from is because they have treated me right in the past and this will be the 5th vehicle I have bought from them. If they had not done the right thing with my first purchase I would had never been back. Now EVERY time I go to buy I give them first shot. I have several dealers closer to me but I still go there because of the way I have been treated. And in this case if they give me the suppliers discount as they say they are then there is another reason to keep returning there. I am very loyal to where I get good customer service. They may have lost a few bucks on my first purchase, but have made that many times over on the several since then. Just good business.

I just got off the phone with Christine at Chevrolet. very helpful.....She indicated that Chevrolete is offering supplier pricing but weather or not they will offer GMS has not yet been decided. Yes it is up to the dealer if they "participate" for the camaro and all cars that is is offered on.

She said check back in a few weeks. at faq@chevrolet.com

All we can do is wait and see what they do but depending on what options you go with the difference could be $2700-4500 on a 2SS. chuck a change for some even if financed of 72 months. Then hope your negotiating skills are good and the dealer is willing to participate and offer you the savings....To be continued.....................

yes the graduate and military discounts are the suppliers price. so if suppliers price/discount is given then grad and military will be as long as the dealer approves it

Where is these numbers of $2,700-$4,500 coming from? With a auto 2SS/RS equipped with every option that we currently know the prices of, I can't even break the 2k mark. In fact my current build that I'm ordering (auto 2SS/RS with painted engine cover, black rally stripes, and yellow interior trim kit) is only a $900 difference.

What are you using to figure out the difference? Supplier price on other cars ranges from 4% to 9% (corvette).
