No, that was before the cam but the car did have nitrous on it. I don't remember what he was spraying back then, 100 shot I think?

So....out of curiosity.....what type of mufflers are you using? Are they a chambered muffler?

The tips I'm assuming are 4" or maybe 4.5"?

Another question....your x-pipe is about 1/2 way down the exhaust. I've always heard that you want to put the x-pipe up as close to the collectors as you can so that it helps pull the exhaust out of the collectors. Did you do testing on the x-pipe positioning to determine this was a better place to put the x-pipe or is the "as close to the collector" not necessarily true?

1. They are our own design and use a packed muffler similar to a Borla unit. The tips are 4" round, slash cut double walled.

2. Yes running the X pipe as close to the collectors is generally the best, however sometimes packaging will not let that happen, and that is mostly the case with the Camaro. The transmission mount is in the way, and also to mount the catalytic converters as close to the collector for best efficiency they need to be in front of the X as well, so it just pushed it back farther. We kept it as close as we could to keep the torque peak as broad as we possibly could.

Do you know the type of material it's packed with? Curious if the packing will start going away over time and making the exhaust sound louder?

I watched this video a couple more times. Not that the LG parts don't play a big part in his times but you can tell this car is setup to drag race. First off, the driver did a great job getting this car off the line (an issue I've been trying to overcome) but you'll notice he has much smaller diameter wheels. They look like they are 18" and I'm willing to bet that's with drag radials.

With that small of a wheel I'm sure the brakes were switched out to probably the small V6 brakes. You're talking about a good chunk of weight reduction along with much better un-sprung weight.

If he has done these kind of things to the car then I'm sure there are other things you can't see like Trailing Arms, Toe Rods, Bushings, etc. to help it hook.

It's one thing to have HP on a dyno.....it's another to get it to the ground and off the line properly.

KUDOS....to LG and who ever is driving that car.

It was run on a 18" wheel with a 305 30 18 MT Drag radial. At the time the car had stock brakes on it and weighed 3980 with a driver. Suspension was completely stock. Ended up running 10.28 with a 1.52 60ft with the factory stock suspension, axles and clutch. Never broke anything in the suspension in 200 + passes.

Good to know the Camaro can hold up like that.

So that's 18" up front that clear the factory Brembo brakes? Nice.

So instead of finding a set of factory take off wheels I guess I'll have to look at going with 18" all around for the drag strip. Surely that had to help a lot.
