Yeah the above photoshop doesn't quite capture the dark hue of the midnight wheels. But I agree about Jinx's idea of using the Z06 style wheels. Looks amazing.

I got confirmation from FBodfather that the Red SS/RS with Cyber Grey Stripes from NAIAS has the correct midnight silver wheels.

Now looking at those pics, and pics of the Silver SS/RS from the Barret Jackson Auction, I'm actually thinking that Midnight Silver Wheels may look the sharpest on Cyber Grey.

Thoughts?

My order stands as polished wheels, but If my dealer called right now and said, "last chance to change the order", I'd go with the Midnight Silver.

I really need to decide!

I'm in the exact same boat guys. For now, I've decided to take the middle road (or as close as I can get to it) by going with the Polished Alluminum. My thoughts being the Sterling Silver Metallic would almost look white and provide too much contrast and the Midnight Silver would be too dark and look like the wheels are covered in brake dust all the time (even when clean) and I can't stand that. I'm hoping the Polished will give it just the right tone I'm looking for which for me would be somewhere in between the other two IMHO. I think the polished look would really add a touch of class and finish it off just right. Of course it is extra $ but to me the wheels are critical to the overall look of the car. I too am frustrated since we that like and chose CGM have nothing to go by other than photoshops and a partially painted one-off (Dale Jr. car) Pulling what's left of my hair out!!

CGM w/ MSM wheels FTW!!!

and I agree about the brake dust. However, my chrome 35ths dirty up after a couple days anyway. With the MSM wheels, a good cleaning will give that shine off of them....just bright enough to know they are clean.

I'll see if maybe I can make the polished one better.

The first CGM Camaro is close to the look I'm after although I'm not sure if Venom was intending that to be Midnight or not. To me the fist pic looks more like what the Polished Alluminum would look like. Anyway, that's the look I'm after. Nice job Venom!!

Then again, these are photoshops and not pics of the real thing on this car. I guess only time will tell when we can see the real thing. I just hope we can before it's too late to change the order...

I would add the polished wheel option to your order.

cyber grey and wheels

I was wondering what all you cyber grey guys are choosing for wheels... going with the midnight silver? or the polished? and what do you think will look better with that color?

I'm going with the midnight silver wheels that come with the RS package..I do not want to spend extra money on the polished wheels unless GM cuts the price of getting both the RS and polished wheels package..

Midnight silver. If it looked bad, Chevy would have disallowed the combo like they did with the red exterior/IOM interior.

I'm going with Midnight Silver. Maybe switch to an after market rim latter. I will wait and see how it all looks.

i'm going midnight silver and will probably have them powder coated semi gloss black. I feel it will have an evil look with the black stripes

There's another thread with this exact discussion called Cyber Grey and Midnight Metallic that you all may want to reference too. Above is my contribution to that thread
