I'm gonna push my shop to put on a GXP front end...funny thing is that it's actually cheaper to get a GXP front bumper than a GT...

And FINALLY I can get rid of the annoying front plate!

The top 2 is my bumper...the bottom 2 is the GXP

Man, that's a bummer. Glad to see you still have a positive attitude. Your G8 is one sweet ride, we'll look for you at the next car show when you get your G8 back.

hmm i think i like your bumper more then the GXP. Hope everything turns out alright though. Sucks what the cop said, one would figure they would investigate to see if she was breaking the law, and then fine her for it. would probably keep her from texting and driving again.

If the total cost to repair the car is more than the car is worth they will consider it a total loss.... Maybe you could get a GT/GXP and teach them coupes a lesson ....LOL

- Police shows up 20min later. Cop inspects both cars...sees that me and the other driver are fine. He tells us that since there was no serious injury...in the City of Upland...they don't file a report. I told him she was texting resulting in taking the red light. He said it's called an "accident for a reason"...he told us to switch info and have a good night. I at least got his info and badge number.

- I already called her insurance and mine to put in my claim...her insurance hasn't been able to get ahold of her.

- I called my shop this morning. They are gonna tow my car...and provide me a rental. He said he'll deal with the insurance companies.
You need to file a complaint with the city. This sort of governance is not helping citizens in that community. You need to make sure that you are on record somewhere as requesting a police report and not getting one. This may not be the officer's fault. It could be a case of bad policy at the municipal government level.

Sorry for your car! :( Its such a pain to fix crap that other ppl did to your car because they are stupid.

When I was rear ended in a school zone and reported we needed an ambulance for a possible neck injury the cops came quick! Even the big boss came, cause he thought some kid got ran over, which wasn't the case. But they didn't file a report. He just filled out this slip of paper with both parties info on it and called it a day. Her insurance paid for everything, EXCEPT the decreased value of my vehicle that now has repaired frame damage. She should have forked over another $1000 to cover that.

That sucks...basically same thing happened to me. He told us to each write all our info on a sheet of paper...then swap...
