This is a day remember and honor those who have served and those serving today. Thanks Scott, for reminding us all of what we tend to take for granted in this country. Being a veteran myself, (82nd ABN), I can understand what our men and women have gone through and are going through today to keep this country what it is. The best place in the world to live.

Outstanding sentiments Fbodfather!!! I couldn’t have said it better myself!!

Personally,

5 years in the USAF (4 + 1 year Medical hold)

2 war Veteran (Desert Storm, Bosnia)

Couldn't be more proud that I had the opportunity to serve this great country. For those that have never served in the armed forces, just know that public support is VERY important. It can be very painful to go to war -- but it gives your brutal tasks meaning when your efforts are appreciated by the citizens of the very country that you have taken an oath to defend (to the death if necessary).

..he passed away September 9th 2006, and i'll never ever forget him... I'm not going to spam his findagrave.com link here, though if for some reason you would like to see it.. reply or PM me..

This day is for him and all veteran's. KIA, POW, Lived through and passed, Still living, And those who are fighting today and will either give their life for our current freedom, or live to tell about it in the future......

Dont worry, Some of us crusty retirees are giving ourselves a present! A 2010 Camaro!

Thanks for the thoughts though.
