Definately paint them, just more clean looking that way. Thats just my opinion tho... I strongly recommend you paint them befor they are installed on your car less chance for overspray, ect. the body shop will thank you and it will probably cost less to paint when they are off the car. One more thing, painting your body kit voids the warranty on the kit itself. Thats what my dealer said when I painted mine

I got a couple chips in mine from drivin cross country, but a good body shop will give you a lil jar of touch up paint, just make sure you request some before they start painting to make sure the batch matches.... being yours is black it should be easy to touch up.

paint for sure, when its not painted it gives the illusion that the car sits higher

I'm thinking of adding the ground effects now as an after thought... and I think I'll have it be the color of my stripes (silver) and not black like the rest of the car.

I saw a silver SS with the ground effects and it did not look finished. But, since you are getting a black C5, it might be fine. If you were getting any color but black, I would say definitely paint.

I left mine un-painted. I think it gives a little more bad-ass to the look

GROUND EFFECTS

I have black and didn't get mine painted! I like the two-toned look. My heritage grille is the same color as the kit so it doesn't clash. I already had my front fascia fixed twice. Once with two layers of double sided tape now once again with two hex nuts drilled in. I think I'm going to keep the kit on and not take it off and reinstall it and ask for more troubles

YOU ASKED.

IN MY OPINION it looks like CRAP unpainted.

I think the Camaro looks GREAT without it,

BUT I have seen quite a few with the GFX that WAS painted the

SAME color as the car (COLOR-KEYED) and they looked GREAT.

Also the BIG UGLY CHROME SUARE exhaust ports NEED to be painted BLACK.

DON'T take anything personal, YOU ASKED and I gave YOU MY opinion.
