Help with Painted Stripes

I can't believe this. After work, I went to an auto body shop that was highly recommended by several guys I know who have car show winning classic muscle cars. I was told they do extremely high end work. I wanted to get an estimate done. They took one look at the RJT tri-coat and said "we're not touching that."

They had worked on a RJT C6 vette and were unable to properly match without repainting the entire thing. They told me it would be too expensive to do right. Better to repair the tear in the spoiler and leave the paint alone.

What do you think?

Does anyone here know of a good paint shop in the VA, MD or PA area? Basically within a couple hours of DC?

Seems odd. I just got mine back last Friday from a local shop. They repaired some decent rear bumper damage I had from backing into someone and had no problems matching the IOM. They also painted on my black rallys, same as others...used the same metallic from the IOM in the black them made up. Can't tell from these shitty phone pics but it pops in the sunlight.
