I'm certain it will.

Expect a GG tax. My guess is anywhere between 1500 and 2000 bones.

a $2000 gas guzzler tax shouldnt be that bad if you can afford a $50,000 toy

the LS3 SS missed it because they have a skip shift installed. 1st - 4th gear

Just wondering, the EPA combined MPG for both the A6 and M6 is 19MPG (using skip shift, I'm assuming). I'm not quite sure how the combined is even supposedly close enough to 22.5MPG to avoid the guzzler tax... Maybe GM just ate the cost or included it in the MSRP.

I don't believe that applies to the gas guzzler tax. I believe that exists for passing of the sound level requirement (well originally it did).

i think skip shift was indeed made to avoid gas guzzler tax and increase mpg.

gas guzzler tax has been around at least for the last 20 or so years, long before Obama came into office.

Let's put the same thing in the Z and we can bypass it again

Damn it, I'll have pay to play!!! Already feel as though I'm being raped by the government and state....but that's a whole different thread.

Interesting. I stand corrected.

truth! that point completely escaped me when i was writting that question... i suppose 300lbs (12% difference from the gt500 to the ctsv) along with the lesser amount of tq would make the 5mpg difference (3 from the weight, and 2 from tq).

yeah, easily get 23... but this is a 2011 gt500. avg 14mpg city and highway.
