Ya I know. It wouldn't be so bad if there was a real dyno tune available. Btw just a heads up for anyone with an automatic considering headers. A side effect of the check engine light is that you cannot use remote start. I assume that if you clear the codes and light with Trifecta or another tune when one comes out that it would restore the remote start functionality.

Thanks for the pics man, those headers look cool.

Also the remote start definitely works and I have the Trifecta tune, but I never got a CEL for the 100-120 miles I drove w/o the tune.

Ya I confirmed that if your car has a CEL the remote start is automatically disabled. The shop cleared the code for me today and is ordering O2 extensions which should solve the problem permanently for me.

Good luck with the 02 extensions. I hope they work for you, but there are members here with the BBK long tubes that adding those did not work (they eventually came back on). So one member tried doubling up on 02 extenders. IIRC that fought off the CEL for a while but I think it may have eventually came back again.

Man...theres gotta be a way to fight off the cell without a tune.

True!

But I guess the best way to fight the CEL, is to exchange the LT for SS

It would be incredibly expensive for me to switch to a V8 now with the amount of money I have put into the car. Especially considering the custom paint job. Besides....I love my car and she is one of the first 25,000 built!
