I know that everyone on this forum is supporting GM, but a large(probably 99.9) of the general public is sick of spending their money on bailing out poorly managed companies.
I want nothing more than for GM to survive, at the least, long enough for me to graduate (next summer) and to purchase a new Camaro... Six YEARS, 6 llllooonnnnggg years I have waited for this car to come to fruition, and to be this close (assembly lines are starting to ramp up) from the only car that has piqued my interest enough to check forums EVERY day, and not be able to purchase one... If GM does not survive chapter 11 bankruptcy and moves to Chapter 7 (liquidation), we have more pressing problems to consider, such as Toyota buying the rights to our AWESOME LSx series of motors, or the Corvette nameplate. Not to mention replacements parts for the millions of currently running LSx's will be hard to come by. Unless you want to purchase a billet block from World for a much higher price than the OEM. Sorry for my rant I have had a couple after work beers and this situation with GM has me worried more than anything else related to the economy and my emotions are running high because I am so close to finishing college and beginning a life where I can devote my time to my hobby of GM cars. I don't want to be doom-sayer, and trust me there is NO ONE who wants GM to survive more than I, but we have to realize how dire a situation GM is truly in... Wasting, i.e. "burning", 3 BILLION dollars a month. Here's to the successful continuation of GM and a new Silver SS (maybe Z28) sitting in my garage!

To add to that, as long as GM doesn't go chapter 7, they will build the Camaro. Before they go ch 7, they will have gone ch 11 and discovered that they still weren't viable. Before they go ch 11, they will have had to not get the loan they're asking for.

Always take your pills. And if you don't, and someday make a Camaro like that, you will banned.
