Can't wait to go! My car had less than 500 miles on it last year at this event, so I hope to see some small increase in dyno numbers and race times now that she is broke in. Still stock engine (no mods ), but I don't care I just want to go fast, fast, fast, and faster in my car!!!! Love it!!!!

GIRLS JUST WANA HAVE FUN!!!!

This should be fun. Talked more about it tonight at the club meeting and everybody is getting more excited about it as it gets closer. Hope to see many Camaro owners from across Texas there.

so what are the limits on the modified class? What do you mean by street tires? Does this include stock type tires and drag radials in the same class That would be pretty unfair It would be nice to have several modified classes :stock tires w/mods, drag radials w/mods, stock tires w/mods and power added like n20 and frced induction, and drag radials w/mods and power adders.... You know just to keep it more interesting and equally competitive. The way its set up now seems that the guy with the most money added to their car will be a easy victory. You line up a cam and bolt-on car w/ stock tires against a car w/ FI, meth, heads, cam, bolt-ons, and drag radials then you got a low 10 second car vs. a mid 12 second car. Know what I mean?? I believe the last camaro races there were set up like this w many different classes. Sorry, not trying to be a pain in the arse! I just think there will be enough cars there where you can have more than 3 classes. And yes, my car is the cam only version

Thanks, jrrod.

Thanks for bringing up this discussion. I totally agree with you. We really wanted to get some of the stock cars on the track (that normally just sit on the sidelines and watch) AND we were trying to keep it simple (Either Drag Radials or not). We all know as soon as you put headers on and tune the stock guys can't compete and there are a lot of cars with these mods.

Depending on how many cars show up for the modified-street tire class, we may be able break the FI cars out into their own class, but with street tires only. Some of these guys bring tires and will be in the Unlimited class anyway.

Also the last Camaro race HPE put on in June there were very few unlimited cars running. Depending on who shows up there we could put the FI guys in that class.

Bottom line is we want close competition and since we are not racing for big dollars we can be flexable. Just hoping to have a FUN CAMARO NIGHT at the track and get as many folks out there as possible...

Hope to see you too...

There's nothing wrong with racing at 500 miles on the clock best time to start to know how to launch the car. I was dynoing mine at 87 miles and raced at the 1/8 mile track at the same time. There's a portable dyno guy that comes to the track on Friday nights.(HMP). So have at it and break her in properly.

I'm planning on meeting up with BACH at 3.30pm at the Cinemark (I-10 / Grandparkway 99) out in Katy - anyone wanting to join us for a drive over to Sealy is welcome.
