It should be the size of the bowtie. I really hope the 5th gen concept ones get the license. I like the look and size of those better, plus they are cheaper.

I agree that the front is small, however, I have yet to see a real life picture of the 5th gen concept one so who know how big they will really be. And one is metal vs. plastic

Too Small
That is toooo small. Might as well move the stock SS over, heat and bend it for the Heritage angle.

There may not be mystery in that, but you have left us with plenty of real mystery. |

I got tired of waiting. $20 and 20 minutes. Filed a groove across the back to help it bend sharply, heat gun, bend, stick on.
It's not perfectly "correct", but I'll wait until we have a few products to choose something from before I change it out. I put the bigger 5-1/4" Impala one on the front and the smaller 4" Trailblazer one on the back Last edited by f5journal; 11-04-2010 at 09:34 AM. |

Yep...having a white car, I was always going white. I just wanted something more modernly correct than the usual '69 SS logo. Red is what most folks want and need

I agree the front SS may be a a bit too small but the prototype 5th gen concepts were making was just too big. The emblem was as tall as and wide as the bowtie. Being as big as the bowtie sounds nice but a lot of people complained that it was huge. Something in between 5th gen and sparks would be perfect imo. The trailblazer emblem is the perfect size but its not a 5th gen =/ Either way this is progress and I'm glad to see things moving forward to get these emblems to people that want them. Even though we may think the front is a bit too small, other people will like it. Its all about options.
On the other hand the rear emblem is wicked.

F5 your front end looks good. All the white is a really clean look.

The SS as I understand it is not for the stock grille. The 5th gen concepts SS was a pop in piece that looked very nice. I'm really hoping this is close to gettting done.
