I had been in contact with Superior Chevy for over 10 months. In the beginning I talked to Henry Martins but they stated that they would not be getting any Camaros to sit on the floor to view. That they only have orders from people from decemeber. So the auto show came around and Superior Chevy was there. I saw the Camaro and had to drive it. He stated that come May they would have a test car. When places started getting the Camaros I called Henry Martins and they stated that they had one but they wouldn't be able to show it for 2 weeks until the unveiling. Which I thought was crap. So on May 1st my phone rang while I was still in class, but being a few days before graduation I answered it. It was Superior Chey saying that they just got a 2LT RS Auto Camaro and was wondering when I would like to drive it. So I asked when is the soonest I could drive it. The lady on the phone said we are free right now. So after school my family drove down there and I drove it. Due to it being the only one he had at the moment he said he would have to charge $5,000 over MSRP but he liked me and wouldn't sell it to me. So we went inside and I ordered a 2LT RS auto IOM w/white stripes and IOM interior for MSRP.

Cool, I live in West. Wyco Just off of K-7 and Polfer!!!! You guys + us will make 3 2010 Camaros pretty close to each other!!!! We reserved our spot in line at Superior on about May 16. We'll hopefully find out in a few day if our order will get sent to GM next month!!!!!! We have the CGM 2LT on the books right now, but I'm pretty sure we're going to switch to the IOM and are thinking about going to 2SS Auto....Not sure if the new Greenier Motors will make another car like this one...ever!!!!

There's more than just us 3. We know 2 others that already have them in this vicinity.
Also, be advised, in the past, changing an order after it's accepted puts it back to day 1. Don't know if that still happens though.

Superior hounded us so much after we went out there it became a stalking situation. So we told them to leave us alone. The cars are the same price everywhere now.
And, because you guys are buying outside of LV. county, you'll be paying about 1 1/4% more sales tax.

In defense of Martens, we went up there right after they got their first unit in, and they unveiled it for us. No drive, but we sat in it and played with the radio etc. a bit.

At Superior, I drove a 2LT the day I went up there, and ordered it at GMS price. I called Martins, thinking they were a smaller dealer and more willing to deal with me. Don't recall who I talked to, but was I not impressed with our phone conversation. He seemed to have more important things to do. So I stuck with Superior!

Do you know of any IOM Camaros that are close enough I can get a look at one in person???

bmonty, you must be a GM employee or retiree??? A retiree here.
We know that Martens second unit was an IOM 2SS RS ordered for a Lt. Col. up on Ft. Leavenworth. He had to back out because he got deployed early to Afghanistan.
The unit was sold the day it came in to a guy that lives in Leavenworth county and is a member of the Leavenworth Cruisers Car Club. Don't know his name and haven't seen it yet. Hoping to catch him at a Cruise Night.
Martens just got a yellow 2SS RS in early last week that was sold to another LV. county resident. Don't know who that is though either.

My dad just retired from the Fairfax plant last June. I'd love to see the IOM in person. I'm pretty sure we'll switch before the order is submitted. The Sales Manager advised that I can change anything on the order up to a certain date, after that, the order is set in stone. I'm going to assume that right now I paid a deposit to reserve my spot on the list. When my time comes to place my order, I will tell them exactly what I want in my car and the order will be placed that way. No changes after that time though. At least that's the way I understand it.

Another Wichita person checking in! I don't yet have one on order but I will soon. Without running all over the forums trying to find out, how many months could I expect for delivery if I ordered sometime this fall? I've seen some people getting them quickly and others many months.

I've only seen one Camaro so far off of Kellog when I was on the onramp, it was the IOM color and looked awesome.

If anyone is feeling friendly and wants to give me a ride I'd be most appreciative!

I'll give you a ride in my '69 Camaro for payment, hehe.

Anyway, glad to see some locals online!!

Depends where you place the order.. Could be on a waiting list until the dealer has allcations available.

Once its submitted and accepted by GM.. you're looking on average 2 - 3 months until it is on the dealers lot. With them filling orders and producing the cars faster now then before.. it could be less time.

Greetings to all, the have's and those that hope to have soon!

I've owned mine since Wednesday evening and have nearly 500 miles on it already! I am making up excuses to go for a drive. We have more milk than we'll drink in a month...

I look forward to when we can get together.

Mac

If that's the way Superior is telling you the way the ordering system goes nowadays, then so be it. That's news to me. We've ordered every car we've bought in the last 25 or so years from GM, (about 10 or so), and like I said, it didn't work that way before.
You're deposit doesn't guarantee you anything but a sweet spot in Superiors' bank account. They have no say whatsoever in when an order is accepted and sequenced by the company.
No offense, just past knowledge & experiences.

Couldn't wait...

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33170

This 1LT RS M6 w/ Boston was an R6P car that was originally delivered to Bozarth that McCarthy got a hold of.

Invoice indicates KF as DAN...wonder if that was the original R6P buyers initials?

Anyone familiar with any history on this particular R6P, and if they might be lurking here? Order was NDVK94
and shows as R6P.

And thanks again to Marvin and the guys at Superior, ... thanks again for all your great communication and work and "superior" understanding in this situation.

Bottom line guys, there's a 6/9 order date slot opened up at Superior...not sure how they do it, if everybody behind moves up, or someone gets my place, or they rev. the order for stock.

Here's a pic of my new baby and stable mate for my Z06...

Somebody refresh my memory...isn't there a Camaro show coming up in the KC area, or did I already miss it?
