I vote for either INDY or Kentucky Motor Speedway. There is also a race track in IL called Gateway. I would love to see it there.

Come on man.
well how many 11 second cars have 6 air bags, NONE..stop blowing smoke cause we all know that 3tenths of a second , is not gonna make a real difference ...the cages are for gutted 11 second cars with absolute no safety other than a seat and cage..i understand rules , and of course they are a good thing, but a couple 11 second camaro,s with all safety provisions still intact should be considered different than a 1974 pinto with inner fenders removed , 1 seat , and every bit of steel removed to make lighter...go pick a fight with someone else

Why?

Centrally located -- so those from all over the country can drive to it - it's not on either the left or the right - north or south...........

Drag Strip and Autocross nearby

Corvette Plant across the street

NCM tours

Great country for cruises

NCM knows how to throw a party

Now..............

For those of you who may disagree with me...............

Scott is right on with this one, NCM knows how to do events.

Was great to vist with you Scott!!!!!

Ya, no need for a NHRA track.

Hopefully they don't change the date range too much, because I agree, Hot Rod Power Tour is in early June, and that would definitely take precendence over C5Fest for me. I agree that you may run into issues with vendors scheduled to attend bigger shows if you run into May/June. I'd be up for going to Indy.

Seriously though. Vendor attendence was aparently light at Firebird. NCM in Bowling Green. If F-Bod threw the idea out, there has to be an obviously good reason.. even as a permenant location down the line.

http://www.motorsportspark.org/ - Whenever that gets built..

I'd say that's about as Central as you can get it for a stuck location.
Wrong!
There were more vendors this year than last.
I don't know why people keep saying this...

I would agree with everyone that says somewhere like Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio. Not because im from WI, but because it truly is a neutral meeting site for anyone in the US. I was contemplating going to the fest this year, but to far away.

IL, IN, OH, MI all would work great. Just remember to move the date back to the first half of May. Weather would be in the 60's and 70's by then. Lots of great facilities in these states. And a lot more people living within six hours drive.
