Well if nothing else, you have a solution for it now. Lead wheel balance weights.
I'd rather trade it in on a new SS with Brembo brakes, and get the weights for free.

sorry if this is a repost but the dealership i ordered mine through has a red ss/rs up there right now and i remembered to look for those on the brakes. you can't even tell they are there. you literally have to look into the wheel and on top of the caliper to see them. also i asked and no one knew what they were for and being a performance caliper im sure that they have a reason for being there

The issue is not that they look out of place... which they do,

The issue is... how are they going to hold up to the high performace / high temperature conditions that Brembo's were built to endure.

They are going to come off at some point... or melt.

Seems like there should be a cheap and easy fix out there somewhere that wont be so ghetto.

After checking out the 2SS in Hanford, CA. The front calipers had the weights but the rear calipers didn't....see pics below (first one is rear and second is front).

My brembos on my stock 350z track squealed like crazy at low speeds when hot... Less wear equals harder materials more squeal... More piston stopping power + harder material equals more vibration/friction... Brembos always squealed even on my old f355 they pinged like a mother... Always low speed... I would trade small weights for no squealing anyday and twice tuesday. May be functional but wierd and ugly..... I agree this should be a recall or credit at least

I wonder if a weight would stop the intermittant squeal on my '09 Z51 Vette?

Does anyone here understand how some added weight can keep your Camaro's brakes from squealing?

I am fairly convinced that the weights are for squeal. But if the CTF cars did not have them, then all the magazines tested those cars wouldn't have had them and should have brake squeal. I did not read anything about brake squeal in the reviews that I can think of which seems odd since they seem to complain about every thing they see as a fault.

If it's for resonance or squealing then why don't the rear calipers have them when the car is near even weight distribution?
