OK, finished bolting up the splash shield to the bumper
Got these from clipsandfasteners.com: ![]() Much cheaper than gm -- $4 a bolt or a box of 100 for $12 -- yep So, I had to add the clips in these square areas: ![]() ![]() Perfect fit -- then bolted them up (both sides -- takes 8 clips/bolts): ![]() Going to do a final run on the BR30 tonight and then LS30 tomorrow. Have about 300 miles on it since the cam... More stuff coming... Ryan (GPI) will be doing the 3.45's and VVT tune on Monday! -Don Last edited by hammdo; 12-11-2015 at 12:48 PM. |

Yes (the 11610157) #, and on their website -- it does show you which ones. Yes, BIG savings and worked perfectly too...
If you use the numbers on the boxes, when you go to their website you'll see the GM # they represent also. -Don |

OK, one more day and the oil is going to be changed to LS30. Did some WOT and boy, the TC had to kick in ;o). Some kind of power -- can't wait to dial it in @ GPI.
3.91s are just too much gear for this -- WOW the Torque is un-real.... -Don Last edited by hammdo; 01-31-2015 at 12:23 AM. |

Can't wait to see what it does on the dyno this time! -Don |

Thanks!
Still more to do, but the LSA Supercharger is awesome. Can't believe the difference in the car. The kit is awesome for sure. The cam and heads are a big lift too. Can't wait for Ryan to dial that in... -Don |

Ok just got back from GPI. Ryan did a fantastic job dialing it in. Got 30 more horse power and 20 torque. Warm idle has improved quite a bit. Drove there and back like a beast! The 3.45s were a perfect setup - thanks to Andy @ ADM.
SO, what about the SS1 cam? It's a beast for sure, but Ryan and I agree that Andy is 100% correct, for best idle quality, get a blower specked cam. The BTR stage 1 blower is the way to go. http://www.briantooleyracing.com/btr...-camshaft.html Andy couldn't have been more spot on. I love the SS1 cam above 1000 RPM, just awesome. The hot idle is very respectable but just not perfect for a blower. I'm going to get a BTR spected cam in the future. Keep that in mind if you intend to do a cam with this Supercharger. I tried something different, it's just not 100% for this blower - very close, but I have to drive this daily so that is the final factor... I learned a lot from this experiment... Andy, you were on it. Thanks! -Don Last edited by hammdo; 02-03-2015 at 01:31 AM. |

Appreciate the kind words Don!
I agree the SS1 is a good na cam. It was cool to experiment with it on the LSA setup! |

I just hummed all the way home. Warm idle is way better, no question. But this is a blower, so need to update!
Hint, hint? Thanks it was really fun watching this make 605 RWHP uncorrected ;o) -Don |

Before the SC, SAE Corrected Smooth 5, 365 RWHP 373 RWTQ.
After SC, heads, cam but with 1 Pull, 540 RWHP SAE Corrected Smooth 5. Torque was 490 RWTQ Now 565 RWHP (avg some were higher near 570) SAE Corrected Smooth 5, Torque was 510 RWTQ. So, 200 RWHP gain, ~140 RWTQ gain from SC, heads, and cam. Total cost of kit, heads, cam, dod delete, lifters, chain, etc. plus incidentals was $7500 -- with me doing this myself (minus tools -- those don't count ;o) Edit: as of today (6/20/2016) with just 2 changes (race lid from ADM and Rotofab Big Gulp): 590 RWHP, 525 RWTQ for a total gain of: 225 RWHP, 152 RWTQ with LSA Kit, ADM Race CAI, VVT SS1 CAM (Cam Motion core, LS7 Lifters and upgraded Comp Push Rods/Springs), GPI Ported Heads (6 PSI boost!). Just in case someone gets here: As of Today (5/23/2017) 645 RWHP, 605 RWTQ from a 2.45 pulley and ported blower -- NOT BAD! Now, 681/631 on E85! -Don Last edited by hammdo; 08-31-2017 at 10:26 PM. |
