Steve... you should sponsor Aby for racing! You won't find a better or more persuasive person to promote your product!

Abygale, Thanks for the write up! I'm so excited to be having mine installed tomorrow. It was actually delivered on Tuesday but I was in Toronto on business--crazy. I'm actually on a commuter bus from Detroit to Lansing Michigan right now. Today was a busy day of customer visits but may last stop before heading back to the airport was the Solo Performance/Zoro Muffler. I had a chance to talk to Jack the manager and Ray the jig man. He's looking good dispite his lung infection. I was shown around the shop and I must say, it's quite an operation. Though it's not a huge operation, they seem to have things well organized and are geared up to bring some acoustic life to our awesome V6 Camaros. I took a couple of pictures and will post when I get a chance.

Okay....where to start? First of all guys, you hit the nail on the head PERFECTLY with this exhaust. It's the perfect sound for this car. At idle it's a low....yet serious moan, but when you step on the gas, even for a split second the exhaust note comes to life. It's mean sounding and anyone you come up behind is going to want to get out of the way, yet it's not obnoxious! I didn't think I could be any happier with this car, but I was wrong. The look and the sound of this exhaust has me loving this car even more than I thought I could.

I won't know about any gas mileage improvements for a while, but I can tell you that my car seemed to come alive quicker when I put my foot on the gas. With the growl you get when you do it....you just won't want to stop!

For anyone who is on the fence about getting this exhaust, get off, you won't be disappointed! I'm extremely impressed.....Steve, you and the guys there at Solo did a truly amazing job. Thank you!

Aby....don't be afraid to post any videos if you take some! The more videos the better! lol If you take a look at the XLT posted videos here there are several of two different V6s with the XLT. Honestly, I felt the ones taken by SOLO sounded a bit weak...but after going through the other member's videos I like those better. Unfortuently I have no idea of knowing which is more true to life.

Man...its really gonna suck when I do finally decide to get an exhaust lol. Guess I'll just have to hope for the best!

You can only ever get a general feel by video. Go by the comment other members posted, they are all the exact same description!

XMicro is right. The video clips do not do the exhaust justice. There are so many variables regarding the sound clips including quality of the recording device, background noise, quality of the speakers on your computer/monitor, etc.

I'm extremely pleased with the exhaust. I wanted something that sounded like this car should. Tough yet refined. I didn't want it too loud and obnoxious like some of the ricers that just go around making noise. I wanted a low, mean, don't mess with me sort of understated yet serious sound, and that to me is what I got. I listened to and looked at a lot of exhausts before I picked this one, and I'm very happy with my choice!

I just had my XLT installed and I am officially Going Solo!

I don't think I can add much more than what has already been said. I am very pleased with this whole experience.

For anyone who is sitting there waiting, you better get froggy and jump! I can't believe how much value Solo Performance is offering here. Save yourself some time and money and order!

The shop that installed my exhaust (Vision Tire & Auto in Lansing) was impressed from the start with the care taken in the packing, the quality of materials and the ease of installation. They charged me $50.00 for installation. I think that with all the excitement of me documenting the installation, I got a bit of a break. I'll post some pictures and video here and on my album once I have a chance.

Thank you , Thank you to Steve, Ray, Jack, Haddid and everyone else who contributed to this awesome exhaust.

That would be GREAT! Air is supposed good tomorrow! As long as the barometer stays up! I think we could see a DA in the 600 range! (vs 1800 like last time!)

if you purchase headers that supposedly bolt up to the existing exhaust (whether or not the headers comes with different cat or uses the originals) will this exhaust still work?
i am planning on getting the BBK long tube headers with their high flo cats but would like to have this exhaust as well.

whats you opinion?

So I have been driving "Solo" for a few days now. I still absolutely love this exhaust. Again- I echo everything that was said by everyone so far about sound, install, etc...

Also- in case is matters to some, unless you are laying on the gas this exhaust can remain fairly quiet. I went out last night and my wife made the comment to effect of - well I should here you come home from about a mile away...

I pulled in the driveway and she had no idea- there is a 30 degree hill up to our house.

I hope what I am trying to say makes sense....

This exhaust sounds AWESOME when you want it to...and can be fairly quiet when you want it too as well....your neighbors will not think you are obnoxious now.

Any header that bolts to the stock exhaust will bolt on to ours! We use all of the stock hardward to mount our exhaust.

This is a question to those that have bought the Solo cat back and had it installed. How much are the shops charging to cut the factory exhaust off and installing the new solo system? I know it will be different from person to person, I just want to get an idea of the average price.

Thanks.
