is everyone here on C5 that is getting a new convertable receiving an "allocated" slot from their dealer?

Why do some orders move along faster than others, is it regional? My wife and I placed our order on New Year's Eve, I assume allocation (1) for the dealership came in February. But it's been sitting at 1102 for about a month. And I see here some orders are flying through, just curious.

Anyway, hoping to have our new ride JUST before the snow is gone! (in June, ha ha, it's snowing again)

p.s. getting the same msg on GMConnects site, thinking it's a good thing.

The difference is allocation. Until your dealer places the order
against their allocation, your order will sit where it's at and
not get built. Stay in touch with your dealer and find out when
the allocation will be available. Hurry up, the snow won't last
forever!!

I got a call today from the dealer saying that the car has shipped..... now I thought it was shipped a few days ago. Does my status below just mean that it went from a railcar to possibly a truck...??

03/01/2011 - (4200) Shipped (vehicle is shipped to the dealer or interim point of delivery).
03/02/2011 - (4106) Bailment released (vehicle has left plant property).
03/02/2011 - (4150) Invoiced (order is invoiced to the dealer).
03/03/2011 - (4B00) Your car is bayed and is waiting for transportation by truck, rail or transfer to vendor.
03/08/2011 - (4200) Shipped (vehicle is shipped to the dealer or interim point of delivery).

Thats certainly possible. You should call you dealer and
have them verify where the car is at. It will take all the
guessing out of it

He said he called a few times over the past few days and they said they hadn't shipped it yet until yesterday...

He referenced the big QC going on and how it will say shipped but they only moved it from the plant to somewhere else. Oh well, not a big deal. I wouldn't be surprised if I get a call on Friday saying it's in. But I love how half our conversations turn into him asking me about medication advice
