It is a great morning! I got the best times of my life in drag racing yesterday! (best was 9.1547) And I won a trophy for best wheels & a gift certificate for $100 in ceramic coating from NitroPlate one of our new sponsors. Mike got the trophy for 2nd place in the custom class in the car show. We met some really nice new members. One of them is a great guy who owns a new ZL1. I beat him in drag racing. Now the issue is as a new owner and his first time in it at the track he was learning how to launch it and having fun. I am quite confident I will never beat him again but I will forever be able to say that once upon a time I beat a ZL1 in my lowly V6! Here is the link to the thread with pics & videos. Here are 2 more pics from yesterday: The monument commemorating the filming of ID-4 at Rachel is starting to show its age (though it looks better than I would if I sat out in the desert sun for 15+ years) and the Alien Gift shop about 30 miles this side of the restaraunt. Too bad it was closed yesterday.
