I think a bunch of us are trying to get a drive in before hand, but I'm not sure who is organizing it. I'd do it but I'm completely slammed at work right now, and will be lucky to make the golden cruise on saturday....so someone else plan it and if we can make it we'll show up!

I think I'll be heading here this friday. Meeting up w/ some guys from a Jeep forum.
There will be a 'vette who runs open road timed racing and a 600hp Subaru plus some others and whoever else wants to go. It's $90 if you prepay or $100 at the gate. There's a morning session, which were running, and a afternoon session. All the details and rules are in the link. You will need a helmet and attend a drivers meeting.

You wont be able to get your car up to speed at HPR. It is a 2 or 2.5 mile ROAD COURSE, a damn fun one at that! I have heard that PPIR still has some sort of racing but Im not sure. You may want to check out their website. That would probably be the only LEGAL place to do it. Believe me, you can get to 1 mile pretty damn quick on I-25 !

There's a spot somewhere out in WY that you can get to 155 pretty quick to Just have Rob leading you. And don"t pass any Green trucks either at over 100,they get a litttle testy!

Yes this is true. I can actually show you some less patrolled spots as well.
