The VIN is assigned when your
beautiful Camaro is produced...

Your TPW is 4/18/2011...

so it will happen one day that week...
it then will have a status of 3800...

Becky - Good morning. I am expecting my car today or tomorrow and was wondering if you could give me any service bulletins or other inspections the dealership should do on my car before I pick it up. I have heard about the vert top inspection and also instructions for the post that the tonneau cover connects too, anything else? Codes or descriptions would be greatly appreciated! You seem to know a little more about the process than my sales guy.

You should be in good shape Matt. The inspection and
installation for the posts should apply to your car. The
posts are now being installed at the factory and the
inspection applied to earlier VIN series. So tell them to
get that bad boy prepped and get you the keys

from when it was built, I think that's

Had a chance to talk to the Parts Mgr MaureenM this AM.
The windscreen is a "future part". The system shows the
part number, pricing etc, but would cancel any order the
dealer tried to enter. I suggest you PM MaureenM@RodgersChevrolet
here on the forum and let her know you are interested.
She'll contact you when the part becomes available.

Looks like they just placed the order today. The ANTICIPATED
TPW for orders placed this week is 5/2. We'll cross our fingers
and hope that's the case. Next Wed your order will be a 2500
or 3000 status. From that point, about 7-10 days you should
have an actual TPW. Congrats getting it into the
system is the first step.

Thanks Becky! Progress is good! By the way, heard from the dealer that IBM was a possible production issue as the paint came from Japan. Not an issue with the IOM choice I made reportedly. I wonder if any other Japan-sourced components are a possible supply-chain issue with the Camaro?
