Before someone says it (and feel free to, I just am glad my post will not seem to offend as that is not the intent) it IS NOT a happy mother's day for me. I don't have my mother and I don't have my kids.

On top of that I got my hand slapped by a moderator for making a true statement intended to defend female army members. It rather hurt my feelings on a day I was already rather depressed.



So I will say it first, Happy Mother's day to the rest of the mothers.

Everyone gets whacked if they hang around long enough, it's nothing personal.

I went to a bachelorette party last night, we went to a "celebrity impersonator" - aka drag queen - show. It was really fun! Some of the performers were amazing!

Since I have no kids, and my mom and I have been on the outs for years (I've made peace with that, if you knew her, you'd understand), I'm spending Mother's Day kicking back and relaxing. The rain returned, so I think I'll just watch movies

Hi gang.

Had a great day, probably because I'm on vacation this week. My son graduates from high school on Friday, and our family is coming out to AZ to visit, including my daughter! She, along with my mother-in-law arrive tomorrow. Others will arrive later in the week.

Both of my parents passed away, so mostly everyone visiting is from Mrs. Supersport's family.

I NEED a vacation! We have some cool day trips planned.

Happy Monday. We have FROST in May! WTF? My rose bushes were full of blooms & buds. They had shot up too tall to try to cover with all the rain we have had. We also set a record low temp. What a weird spring we are having.

I ended up having a good day yesterday. We went to Mike's parent's house and his aunt (his dad's sister) came by. Mike had not seen this aunt since he was a boy. Being an army brat, Mike has family scattered all over the world. She is quite hte artizan. She makes beaded garments & unbelievably beautiful jewelry. She gave me an autographed set of books she has written on how to do beadwork, a val of one-of-a-kind beads and a ruby ring that had been Mike's grandmother's. She was fun to talk to.

Coffee time on this cold morning then off to work. Thanks for the well wishes, maybe they helped huh? Have a good week everyone.

Happy Monday all!!! Our nice weather has ended, it's supposed to pour all day. And I'm taking Ladybug in to get her brake calipers painted (I couldn't get past how they looked "dirty" now that everything is painted all glossy), so she'll be gettin wet....

Good afternoon and morning gang. Jan very sorry about you not having a great mood yesterday. Never easy. The last meal I shared with my mother before she passed was on Mother's day 4yrs ago. We shared some memories, had some laughs and some tears. She was gone a short month later. Still hard and try to remember the good memories. Glad you had something to pass the time yesterday.

Miss driving the HotRod and staying put in the garage until the LoveBugs are gone here. However did smoke the tires and burn up the skies in the other HotRod. Got her up to 586kts (app 675 mph) across the ground this week even in fuel saving mode. 144kt wind helped just a tad. Won't tell you about the slow motion trip back Westbound. lol
