So is the "Z28" emblem on the grill photoshopped? Or the stripes? How do you know exactly what has been photoshopped, and that the photo is not of a real test car?

I'm not doubting you, but just asking how you are so sure the photo is not real.

And the article is dated April 2009 because that's the magazine issue date. All magazines are delivered one month ahead of their issue date. I'm sure you knew that, but are just goofing on me...

the picture is of a real car, but its been modified with badges and paint changes and whatnot. if GM were testing a Z28, they sure as shit wouldnt be putting badges on it before it was approved for production.

not to mention it says right on the article....

No man. You're wrong. That's a real Z28. Magazines never photoshop anything. You just can't handle the truth .

Please, make the Z28 crap stop!

Nice catch! I didn't notice the "photo-illustration" caption as I was too focused on the car.

I have seen plenty of concept car photos from auto shows with full badging, so not so sure that GM never slaps a badge on the car before it is approved for production, but yes, it would seem that they wouldn't badge the test track cars.

Hey, I'm just excited, what can I say?

That is furthest thing from a real picture I have ever seen. Not only is not photoshopped, but its a mere drawing, just look at the headlights and the bowtie on the grille, its quite obvious.

we all are, but we have to take everything with a grain of salt unless we hear from Scott or a reliable GM source.

I dont know if i'd call it a mere drawing. we've got plenty of shots of real Camaros in that same stance. granted the entire picture has been modified, but they could have taken a real car and jazzed it up.

Times are changing and the manufactures have their hands tied to focus on more efficient vehicles. Perhaps its time for some out of the box thinking……… If GM does not approve the Z28 for production (to appease the government) even though the development is complete, perhaps it should offer conversions kits through chevy parts.
GM can make some serious aftermarket profits, re-establish the Z28 name, give the GT 500 a real spanking, and keep the EPA and fed gov off its back. It can certify select dealers to do conversions if the owner is not a do it yourselfer.
I know, wild idea, but its one I’d jump at

Fail!

Link doesn't work and this probably a repost if it is the same write-up that has already been posted.
