One more thing. I think this may slightly impact our TPW for those of us with SS. Confirmed via GM Dealer Brief:

Camaro Constraints Update
For the last few weeks, there has been a constraint in place that has limited the availability of the SS (V8 models 1ES37 and 1ET37) model to approximately 50% of total available Camaro production. The constraint is due to the continued high demand for SS production. The product team has been working hard with a number of suppliers to meet the market demand for the SS model; and, in the next two to three weekly DOSP cycles, the SS model constraint will steadily increase in availability to the point where production should align with current demand.

While the SS model constraint will be minimized, a new constraint on LT models equipped with the RS Package (V6 models 1EF37 and 1EH37 with RPO code WRS) will be instituted for the next Camaro DOSP weekly cycle (the DOSP cycle beginning next Thursday, October 29, 2009). This new constraint will significantly limit the availability (0% - 10%) of the LT models with the RS Package for the next five to six weekly DOSP cycles. However, after these five to six weekly DOSP cycles, the LT models with the RS Package constraint should improve and nearly align with current market demand.

I read the above post about 3 times before commenting...so please don't blast me if I misunderstood what I read.

I'm assuming if we already have our TPW of next week 10/26 - this LT with RS package constraint shouldn't affect us?

Thanks,
Chad

P.S. What is DOSP?

I hope you're right. We could sit at 3300 for a couple weeks. We will see soon. I hope Viz updates us tomorrow.

Hopefully us guys at 3400 won't get caught in this constraint... Right?

I am hoping it does not affect 3300 and above. I could see where it might possibly delay at 3300 due to parts shortage. But 3400 seems to be the point of no return. Broadcast from what I understand is build date. Car on the line.

I'm still at 3300, confirmed on 10/21.

I went to the dealer today and took the article that baclarsen sent me and what do you know! He did remember reading something about that! With that, I owe $441.88 on the car
We also talked about the extended warranty and for $1275.00 I can get 6 years 60,000 bumper to bumper and 5 years 100,000 drivetrain. Does that seem OK to you guys I guess the standard is 3 year bumper to bumper and 5 year 60,000?

Off the suject but I read (I think in this forum?) that there was a TV show on the camaro being built. I missed it of course, Does anyone know if it will be on again or is it online somewhere?

I hope no one in our group gets held up

That show was actually aired again today at 1pm - about to watch it again now - I have yet to find it online...I will do a search and next time I see it on I'll try to remember to let you know!

the 5yr/100k mi warranty is standard. I'm not sure what GMPP you are getting but they vary in duration/deductable/and cost. Make sure it's a $0 deductable. You can choose the duration that you want at whatever cost they ate charging-I did pay 1200 bucks for the $0deductable 75K mi extension up to I think 5yrz on my 08 trailblazer ss. I'll add it to my camaro as well. Just piece of mind IMHO.

Hey, I am sure everyone has noticed the Viz has not been on for a few days. I know he did a lot of work and can't blame him if he is done with this. But for our group, is there any other person that has been able to give the same info as Viz?
As you know, next week should be pretty important to all of us and it would be a real bummer if we were not able to check on our status.
Please let me know, I got my Paypal ready to go!

Vis posted late last night and said he was having computer trouble at home.
He said that would post from work today. he also noted he had been very busy at work lately, so I don't think he has given it up yet...

once we get VIN's - financing

I imagine once we have our VIN - we can start looking in to financing. I'm putting about 1/4 down on mine, perhaps some of you are paying cash for the whole thing - must be nice!

At what point are you planning on seeking financing, if you are like me? Will you go to a credit union - or your local bank, or just finance through GMAC?

Looking for recommendations - currently I'm planning on starting with my credit union...What are your plans?
