The vehicle functions like Low Saturn is talking about and the PAC computer software. Things that are usually set and forget, but now if you do want to change them you have to grab the laptop, connect to the PAC interface unit, etc...

For instance, if I want to change my door locks form the current setting of unlocking both doors on the first press, to unlocking only the driver door on the first press. What's the process, is it smooth, does it work well?

Actually, all the Vehicle Personalization settings are controlled by the radio. See pages 5-46, 5-47 and 5-48. But if you're like me, once you set those settings, you never will touch them again.

Setting those on a laptop connected to the PAC controller is pretty easy but you will need the PAC-UP module to interface with the laptop. FNG and I did this on both of our cars using his PAC-UP interface module. I'm sure he will chime in with what he had to do (I know he is working on a How-To post that will include pictures to help others make these changes). The laptop program also allowed you to change the chime volume (high or Low, but there is also an adjustment on the side of the chime module itself).

So it would be important to state in the first post that the PAC-UP module is needed for any changes to the vehicle settings previously controlled through mylink, as well as firmware updates.

It is also not stated in the manual by PAC that the module is needed, only states to download the software.

It does state that the PAC-UP module is needed for firmware updates.

Here's a ton of info about the kit; including how to update the firmware and program the SWC:
http://www.tampabaycamaros.com/pac-a...4101-hands-on/

here's how Beat6162 and I have our steering wheel controls setup with the Kenwood DDX9903S:

I even put some info in there about disabling OnStar using the PAC software

Does anyone know if there is an adapter available which will allow the factory sirius xm antenna(the brown connector) from the car, to be connected to a sirius xm tuner?
