There are good dealers out there, you just have to find them.
if you are an gm employee do you get gms pricing or is it up to the dealer

It's up to the dealer to accept any discount.

Answer $276.25
Only if the Dealer chooses to give you GMS employee discount.

My older brother works at a local Chevrolet dealership as mechanic. So this means I'm also eligible for the GMS price?????

Sorry I know theres likely been a zillion questions asked like this, but I just came across this GMS pricing thing and it has me excited! According to gmfamilyfirst.com. The 1SS I'm looking at with options selected would be 30,987 vs 33,470 without GMS. If I got that price, oh it would make my day...

You brother is employed by the dealer, not by GM. I don't think dealershiip employees get GMS. They probably get the supplier price, which is 4% higher.

Is there an updated price list? I went to two dealers and both of their MSRP prices where different for the same exact car. The last dealer said it was the price directly off the GM portal. 39k all in with DF.

2SS - RS - ROOF - Stripes - Ground Effects

Yeah.... Like he said.

I really wanna use this list to try and get myself a better deal on the dealer accessories (if they will even let me have them since they are all "supposedly" on hold).

From comparing the online invoice pricing sites (KBB & Edmunds) to the listing in the original posting of this thread, it looks like GM has increased invoice pricing as a % of MSRP since the Fall of last year (pricing listing is dated October 2008 in first post of this thread). Also destination is up $45 straight up (that seems to be more common knowledge).

Invoice was 94.5% of MSRP on base & LT/SS packages. Up 1%, now 95.5%
Invoice was 83% of options. Up 5%, now 88%.

Destination = destination - no mark-up. (Now $795 - was originally $750 on early production [March] cars)

Basically it appears that GM is keeping more rake for the house than dealers used to get...no wonder dealers are selling at MSRP.

Can anyone confirm this? The KBB and Edmunds sites both return the same % reflected above.

Unhappy Option pricing

I tried to add Shorty Headers, Catback Exhaust, LS3 Air Box and a Front Grille Insert to my order yesterday, but the parts guys couldn't get a price for any of them. He's going to keep trying, while we're waiting for my 2 SS Orange Krate to be delivered. It sure would be nice, if I could drive away from the dealership with no "To do" list.

Does anyone have a newer updated list. This one is from October. There have been price changes since then. Thanks for the help.

The only change that I am aware of is that the invoice % have changed (ref. post #289 above) and that destination is up $45 from $750 to $795.
