very odd dyno graph for sure

all three HP graphs are fairly close, you need the chart with rpms to figure out the torque though

One member with D/T'S, Injen and mrts did 252 / 237 recently on a hot day when one car with only flowmaster did 234 and one with only airaid did 240, all auto's. Stock could have been about 230 for all

wtf is with our cars dynoing so low lately. We either have some serious drivetrain loss or our are alot weaker then expected. Could be the DI powerloss Bmore posted up

I remember when these came out, people were dynoing 260 for m6 and 250 for auto. All fo a sudden this year, everyone seems to have dropped 20rwhp in every dyno run

cool and dry fall runs vs. hot humid summer runs

that could definitly be it as well.
I remember an M6 dynoing 263 in mid summer though too

Oh well, so the relearn time for the car is 30 miles right?
So im estimating I can start ripping th ecar after 50km of driving?
Need to set up a route for when my intake is installled

heat, humidty, the dyno and I think the blasted IAT readings at the time are going to be high due to more heat soak.

you guys really can't count on dyno numbers and compare them to any other dyno runs. you'll go crazy. each and every dyno machine is calibrated differently. you can set up two different shops to dyno your car on the same day, and they be completely different.

Yeah that is definitly true. I understand the inconsistency in numbers but what im talking about is the low numbers in general

I actually talk to dynojet tech department couple weeks ago on why all of their dynojet read so different depending on the model and they basically said that no matter what dynojet one dyno on it all should read about the same.

They said that there are couple major factor that contribute to lower reading. one of the major factor would be based on the pressure, temperature and humidity sampled by the hardware stack. Over time, with exposure to the elements and exhaust, the sensors will begin to skew. You could have enough variation from one dyno to other in the weather station readings to skew the corrected values.

At the end of the day no matter what type of dyno you get on its all up to the shop owners to properly maintain their dyno and to properly setup the values that will determine the outcome especially on dynos like mustangs and dyno dynamics where the outcome could be easily changed via the data you enter.

To me I think the best and cheapest way to know what you are exactly putting down is to hit the 1/4 mile than record your trap mph than calculate your horsepower. I think it beats the hell out of a dyno. The only thing a dyno is good for is to know how much power your mod is getting you.

Anyone heard from Vararam lately? I'm guessing they're swamped at the moment.

Well got my intake on the other day. Pretty easy to install. After watching the install videos I got it on in 30 mins and that was taking my time.

My butt dyno definitely feels the car pull harder. I am pretty impressed so far. I only have about 20 miles on the car. So I still have a ways to go before the ECM learns the intake.

Another nice thing here is the SOUND!.. after 3k RPM the front of the car wakes up. The growl is much deeper then before. The LLT sounds pretty mean now with the MRT 2.0

This is my first intake on the car so I really cannot compare it to any other aftermarket intake.

As I said before the installation was a snap but fitment was a mild issue....

On the left side the intake cover is pushed against the radiator bracket. Not giving the intake to move around as the engine moves. This is not an issue on the right side. On the right side there is a 1 inch space between the radiator bracket and intake cover.

I have the exact same fit issue with mine, it seems that the left and right radiator brackets aren't spaced perfectly symmetrical from the centerline of the throttle body by GM in some cars.

There must be something up with the dyno. That's a huge variation in TQ between pulls. It's strange that the HP seems about right, though. I don't know enough about how the dyno works to guess why it's measuring HP correctly, but not TQ.
