570, sorry to hear you wont be able to make the camaro5fest but totally understandable. I know how much you were looking forward to going. For those of us not going, I'm sure the brotherhood will fill us in on what takes place and post lots of pics of those extreme builds.

Taxes alone are costing me over 4K this year.. probably going to cost the same if not more at the body shop.. They have put a LOT of hours in the project.

I still want to see how Paul's car sounds in person!

Consolation event will be a local car show (rod and custom) that draws about 500 cars on the same day. I know a lot of people in the area.. not too many have seen the car all done yet.

Will be the first car show with the new and improved look.

I would have much rather been at the Fest with the other Camaro's and doing some quality bonding with the fellow brotherhood members... have a beer for me at the event!

Stratman, Glad you finally got your beast out of hibernation! Bet it woke up very hungry... for mustangs maybe?

Blue, I'll bet you right foot is really twitching now for Thursday.

570, Your car IS practically a whole new car, and a one of a kind at that! Can't wait to see it.

MWS, If your local guy gives you any great drag tips PM them to me. I need all the help I can get. And don't send them to RS, even if he offers you $5

2010, Get one of your girlfriends to flash RS on the starting line..

RS will be dumbfounded and just sit there wondering if that REALLY happened.... you should win easily.

Either that, or TAPE a brick under his gas pedal so he can't get full throttle.

How much are they with the pillar?
stratman I have a little over 500.00 invested. I think the dual pod pillar was only 110.00 from Fesler. The dual pods from Aeroforce were only around 450.00. These gauges are unreal the will plug right into the computer under the dash. They tell you anything you want to know and even will tell you your 1/4 mile time.

Did the taxes over the weekend.. Got to pay a few thousand $$$ to Uncle Sam.
Auto Body shop will also be a few $$$$ as well. Both are due real soon...

After the $$$ on the new trailer, there isn't much left in the ol' bank account right now, and I still need another set of tires and rims (Race set) for track use.

Right now I can't afford the tolls and GAS for the 2500 mile round trip to GA for the truck.. would be at least a grand to tow the car to there. It would also chew into 4 days minimum driving down and back for the one day event.. so I am out....
570 That is really a bummer I was looking forward to checking out your car and hanging out. I know you gotta take care of business though.

Here is what I was ran on a cold chip and seal country road. This was the first time I tried anything like this so I think if I go to a track I can fine tune the times a little. This is from my new gauges. I ordered the wrong color so in a few weeks I am going to order the color that matches my stock gauges.

Sweet! Take a look at the gauge and see if it will fit in the drivers side air conditioner vent. Mine is always closed anyway, that would be perfect if it will for a factory look.

Paul, gauges look awesome! Looks like your car should be able to get some respectable times at a drag strip when you have a good surface to launch from. I bet you could get 11.00 flat or break into 10's with the right conditions.

Yes, I am kinda bumming about not hanging out with you guys at the fest. We will hook up sometime in the future.. that I do know.
