Not being an engineering expert, I assume the Alpha platform can be stretched and widened? The ATS is a much shorter and narrower vehicle than the Commodore.

Alpha can accommodate a range of sizes. While the Commodore is a lot bigger than the ATS, its nearly the exact same size as the CTS -which also uses Alpha

Nope. Dealers were shown the car months ago. Not sure what the hold up is.

I'd guess they're waiting for the auto show circuit to start up again. LA maybe.

So a dealer employee was poking around and uncovered an engine code for Sierra, L8B. Listed as 5.3L eAssist.

What's odd is if you Google it, the RPO code does come up in a service bulletin for trucks, so the engine exists. Also odd is one Google result is the Wikipedia page for the BAS system.
