Christmas came in June this year as the Dragon Rider SS RS in VR was delivered on Monday, June 6th at 4:10 PM. Just couldn't believe it when I got the call from the delivery room.

Thanks to the hardworking folks at GM, it was 5 weeks, exactly, from the date the order was placed (1100) to delivery to me. Car drives great. Engine runs wonderful. Sounds great with just the stock cats and exhaust with no mods. Also, the short throw Hurst IS really short. Shifts great!

The nicest surprise of them all: I live on a narrow, 11 mile mountain road full of serious twisties and elevation gain, and I was totally amazed at the suspension and handling. Some of the folks selling suspension mods seem to be saying the car doesn't handle all that great, but I had a clear, dry road, and it stuck in the curves as good as my 02 Miata and my 09 Sky and pretty darn close to my mid-engine 05 Boxster. Chev really ain't competing in just the pony car market. If sway bars, frame stiffeners and drop springs actually improve the handling even more, this car will run with a lot of company it ain't supposed to be hanging out with.

I know I bugged you several times a day, some days; you were really gracious with your time and help. Your input and assistance sure made this popcorn eating, waiting process a lot more fun.

Currently 0500 status, and if I remember
correctly, that's a dealers preliminary order
and this one is for stock. You may want to
double check the order # to make sure

What do you mean stock? The dealer said that he has allocation for 12 camaros and mine is one of them going into the system.
