We'll see if it helps.... Our concern is IATs for the mile run...
did i read 220 IATs... DANG... I am at 188 and thought that was brutal.

your nitrous should help with IATs in the mile shouldnt it Robert?
Are you considering Meth at all... i havent measured my IATs since we put meth on mine.. but it is a safe way to drop them.

meth did not drop mine, it only helps the cylinders burn cooler, thats after its already went thru the sc.....thats a plus, but don,t expect much iat drop..you will be disappointed..i would not think he is gonna feed nitrous for the whole mile?? http://www.streetfire.net/video/full...nen_120504.htm anyone on this,,can,t find much data...bruce ,is that really your car or is it a hollywood double..lol

Yeah we are hoping the nitrous helps... It should a little anyway... By the end of the quarter, the highest IAT I have seen is 193 though it started at 95... The variation will be that in the mile run at what would normally be the end of the quarter, there will be a ton of air flowing through the intercooler... That ought to help as well.

I'm actually fabbing a cardboard template of my upcoming fuel tank for race fuel to use with the nitrous.... Corey is testing my fabrication skills...for an upcoming project....

It may or may not be what you want but the splitter on the SST was not bought just because of the look. ACS made it like the Z06 Vette Splitter and you can order it with the ducts for radiator/intercooler cooling. Works well. Just a thought even if you only wanted it for the Texas Mile both for cooling and it keeps air from getting under Brandi.
I'll possibly be visiting with you about this... I've been looking for splitter ideas...

That video was FUN! Your car looks awesome. It sure is a "pretty little thing!"

They must have had a blast making that video. Very clever.

Naturally the more air across the intercooler the better but...the intercooler is designed as much as a heat sink as anything else. It does not only rely on air passing through it to cool. Plus you will need to beef up the front of the Camaro anyway as it tends to gave in at around 190. I boxed the front bumper out by cutting it in half and then plating it in so more air could cross the intercooler and it made a 10 degree difference.

On the chassis dyno at 15psi we never saw higher than 155^ with basically no air blowing across the core. On the road it should not go over 125^ on a 85^ day. Just an FYI.

I have driven 3 Camaros over 170 mph with the TT kits while instrumenting them all and never seen temps over 130 on the road. A bigger engine like yours that eats more air flow should see lower temps because you make more power per lbs of boost. I agree cooler air is always better but if you are seeing 200^ air something is not right. Was that on the road or on his dyno?

Can I ask how you have your meth system setup? Do you have it before your MAF/IAT sensor or after? I have a corvette not a camaro and on our cars you have to seperate out the IAT and move it further towards the TB and put your Meth nozzle after the MAF but before the IAT sensor or you will never see any IAT drop and your computer will never know the IAT has dropped because of the meth.

iat sensor is in lower manifold under blower, meth nozzle is about an inch from the tb, thinking in hindsight, the small amount h20 and meth before tb can,t cool much,imo.....i,m possibly thinking of upgrading to larger he ,looking at ice chiller bucket or ac chiller from sc1250...not gonna do much till 9in gets put in next week and do a break in , then off to dyno to see rwhp loss from 9 with some iat #,s ..then following night, down to pbir for some real running track iats on actual 120mph passes in 5-8 degree cooler nightime running...i,m not sure how you can measure intake temps b4 throttle body, that is not a real indication of iat...whipple did that and now have moved the iat sensor to the manifold where it belongs for recording iat..sorry bruce not to jack your thread
