So the engineering on the new 5.0 motor will be so far ahead of the LS3 that it will make more power and respond better to mods?
In fact so far ahead that it will overcome a 1.2 liter deficit? Is that the latest BS we have to swallow now? Always something |

Find a new angle. quick.
We're getting back to an old argument that has been hased out more and more. Im just sayin... if you doubt that, search for mustang or GT500 You'll be astounded at how repetitive this "debate" is.

Camaro V6 vs 2011 Mustang V6...
http://www.autoblog.com/2009/12/03/v...nd-heard-in-m/
Things just got really interesting... "The 2011 Mustang is only one year removed from a major refresh, but that didn't stop Ford from adding a host of upgrades, especially to the V6 model, to better-compete against its new pony car competition. While we certainly don't discount the V6 Stang's new suspension and packaging updates, the big story resides under its bonnet. The new 3.7-liter V6 packs 305 horsepower mated to a six-speed auto tranny (a six-speed manual is also available, but you lose 1 mpg) giving the new Mustang a big advantage over its predecessor while reportedly delivering the 30 mpg efficiency the masses are looking for. We got our hands on some b-roll video of the new Mustang V6, with both static and moving shots. If that's not a good enough reason to watch there is also some aural pleasure courtesy of the new 3.7-liter V6. Unfortunately, the engine sounds are only audible when the Stang is in park but it still sounds pretty meaty when inside the cockpit. Hit the jump to see and hear the 2011 Mustang V6 in action."

Didn't really impress me, but then again, i don't care for the car, save the front end. The center console still looks like it belongs in a truck and ambiant lighting is the gay, lol. In the cup holders even?? Sheesh...and let's not start on the rear section.
All that said, I can't wait till someone locally buys one! Then it's on! Just found out a neighbor has a Genesis, although it's the 2.0ltr Turbo, I'm trying to talk him into a race! How cool is it we have muscle car wars again?!?!?!

Ok, how about forced induction is basicly forced displacement. So when one starts talking about FI on a smaller ci motor vs the bigger NA one, in truth, they are just leveling the playing field with forced displacment. You are compressing air and forcing it into a smaller chamber...
So, in reality, there is no replacement for displacement, regardless of brand name.

Oh, and btw, did you read my last post in that thread, Mr. Camaro's are selling like hotcakes? And apparently you didn't understand my post correctly. If there are 4 (now 6) camaros sitting at a low volume dealership, just imagine how many are sitting at the high volume dealerships? |

I agree. That doesn't mean there won't be 0% financing. If Chevrolet offers 0% on their top of the line corvette, why wouldn't they offer it on the camaro?
