It was nice to meet some of you last night and I was very pleased to find that cool cars do indeed have cool owners. Lightning, we had a good time at dinner and my daughter thought you were funny. Thanks! You all were very cool and made us feel welcome. Glad to be a part of the group. I'm working on a logo that we could use if you all agree. I'll post it when it's done.

I was in Sydney last year and saw my first Synergy Green Ute (short for utility vehicle). Its made by Holden GM Australia. It is built on the Pontiac G8/Holden Commador/Chevy Camaro Zeta platform. It was scheduled for a US release at your local Pontiac dealer in 2010 but we all know how that story ended.

When Scott and Cheryl, from GM, were here for the Auto Rama, I asked if the Ute would every come to North America. They told me the same thing, that it had been planned. I would buy one for a daily driver. Love the versatility of an open bed or even with a shell.

Sorry to hear about your rock chip. With the way they can repair windshileds these days you should be able to get that fixed so it's barely discernable.

Congrats on your walk/run. I took my son when he was 10 on a 10K run some years ago. That was fun.

Don't wait too long to get it fixed, I had a rock hit the windshield but didn't see any chip so forgot about it. The car sat in the garage for two days and when I back it out to drive I see a 3-4 inch crack in the bottom right hand corner. Get out to see what's going on and find the chip, didn't see it from inside cause it was way down in the black area. It didn't get cold those nights here in St George so was surprised it cracked. My guy at Nationwide drilled the end and put the repair liquid there, the entire length of the crack as well as the rock chip. Looks like crap but will have to do until it cracks more if at all.
