Welcome, we love noobs here!!

First of all, when the order in entered into the system, they have an immediate order # and they should be able to give it to you. The 6-8 week timframe is accurate. You may want to call the sales manager and ask about the order #, perhaps your salesperson doesn't understand the process. Good luck to you and don't hesitate to stop and ask questions if you have any.

I am finally here for more than reading everyone else's happiness. I have an order number!!!

It took forever to get things rolling, but I should be well on my way. I am not sure what day they put it in. (could be as early as last Tuesday as late as last night) I hope it is not too early to ask Becky...order number PTZNOZ, where am I?

Also, anyone else on here getting an performance package on the Camaro while it is enroute to the dealer? I have locked in a Hennessey HPE 650 with additional upgrades. I may not get my car until after Christmas, but what a party that will be!

The status is 1100 as of 8/2. I may be that the order get's
picked up tonight, but it may sit til next Tues. In any case
don't worry because GM is picking up sold orders and processing
them - no dealer allocation to worry about.

Chevy has a site to track your order http://www.chevrolet.com/ordertracking or CamaroTracking.com or here on this thread. The first 2 give you an option for email notifications. The only piece you won't get there is the TPW. You can always check for that here, or ask questions if you have them.

Congrats again, you'll have all the latest and greatest equipment with the 2012 model.
