That is exactly what I was trying to get at!

I would love for the l99/ls3 to be an 11:1 motor. It would stop the over abundance of maggies that are flooding the market and would lead to more cammed/sprayed motors with originalty. Its disgusting how many companies are just slapping them on and saying "ohh special editon...its super special". Soon there will be more maggie camaros than honda civics.

(side note) there is nothing wrong with the above mod, but it just seems like people are too lazy to do actual work to these cars, especially the real companies that are using the 2010 to make special edition cars.) Stop being lazy.
I see WAY more NA cars than boosted cars, that's for sure. I don't see what this rant is about.

If people want to settle for ~500 rwhp or less, then it's ok i guess to stay NA. But boosting a car is a good way to make good hp (600+ rwhp) and still stay streetable. I have a cammed car (68 Galaxie) now and it's cool to drive around when you pull up next to someone, but the car gets annoying if all you're trying to do is go to the gym or a friends house.

He doesn't care if the 5.0 can sustain 500 RWHP or 20 lbs of boost.

The general public will not turn away from the 2011 GT because most of them don't know what boring is. However, when discussing its performance capabilities this is obviously a flaw and a slap in the face of mustang fans who do want to cheaply modify their new 2011 GT.

most people DO know what "boring" is, they just can't stay away from it because most have to settle on < $40,000 cars. Only the affluent can afford the exciting cars, for the rest of us there are corvettes, mustangs and camaro's, etc.

and you don't even have any prices on these mustang modifications. Last I saw, the camaro parts weren't exactly "cheap" either. The very mass majority of even people who like to "cheaply" modify their vehicles are only going to do cai and cat backs, MAYBE even an x pipe. Maybe.

I have to disagree. If people cared that much about perfomance, then the GTO would have outsold the mustangs. However, to them things such as comfort and looks were more important than its performance.

Please someone tell me what all the talk is about "boost"... Is this supercharging the car?

So you are saying no supercharging? That is really hard to believe. I wish there was an active forum for mustangs like there is for camaros..

I know, I am currently working on MustangFive (http://mustangfive.com) in correspondence to the 5 liter with a few companies. All current Mustang sites suck, so we are making one that doesn't.

However, what is the commotion about the boost!
