By the way, your TQ statement is only true when not discussing these two cars because even if the two cars have the same TQ #s, the snake will be a lighter car and it will have the advantage. In this case, the snake has more TQ and lighter. What now?

I think the best thing GM could do is offer warrantied performance upgrades for the ZL1 from GMPP. That way nobody gets shafted.

Exactly, and since there's been no word on ZL1 and Canada so unfortunately I'm going to have to go with the next beat thing, which ironically enough comes with an amazing amount of horsepower and it's the torque that people with have trouble with lol

that's a good price point that should undercut the GT500. my issue being that we could see the ZL1/GT500 prices skyrocket to 70+k within a couple of years if this trend continues.

Or the recent jumps by the GT-R. Two years ago it had only 485hp, it jumped to 530hp, and is now getting ready to add another 35 hp or so

you mean the GT500 KR "King of the Road". People paid that not because of the hp but because of the exclusivity of the KR. Just like people are paying for the Shelby GT350 now.
