Ok guys I cut the hole in my hood but I did have to trim the extractor for the blower so it wouldn't touch...I'm post pics soon...

I suggest that cutting the 16 3/8 should be backedup 2 -3in due to the blower sitting higher than a NA setup. I did have to trim the inner extractor because the HE was resting on the TB and CAI...I will replace this with racing mesh from www.racingmesh.com.

Still debating on doing this mod. Not sure if it would clash with my stripes or too much going on. I have a victory red with black stripes. Ugh I go back and forth with it. So far everyone's looks good.

I think it would look bad ass personally. I don't have stripes but will sooner or later and going with black stripes and the grill is black will make it pretty much unnoticeable in my opinion. I did it for function, not visual enhancing. Just my .02 cents.

I'm going to tackle this project this week. Can someone who used the longer hardware bolts to go through the extractor and drip tray confirm the sizes I need to be getting? Thanks!

Just need to order parts now.

This mod does just that. I literally see the heat pouring out from the vent. Cool air coming in through the grill and hot air being pushed out. The rain tray in place as not to get the motor wet, funneling the water out by the radiator. Yes, this is the mod to do and it still looks OEM.
I may get the mail slot delete next as I had it on the previous car and like it as well.
I did the hex vents this weekend and love them. I too am looking for mail slot delete. Would appreciate any details/info. Thanks!

Just get Toilet bolts, take the extractor with you to the hardware store. The head of the bolt should "Snap" right into the slot that the little OEM bolts comes out of. What part of Jersey are you in??

Can someone do me a favor? I have an MPD1 cowl hood. Because of it's added height, the cowl extends farther over the windshield than the factory hood. I know the measurement from the rear of the factory hood is 16 3/8 to 16 1/2. Since my length is different and I don't have the stock hood anymore to compare, can someone measure from the point at the front of the hood to the leading point of the insert?

That should give me factory placement. I may end up moving it farther back depending on how it looks.

I took the liberty of using one of the OP's pics to show the distance I need in case it was unclear.

Please and thank you.
