Official Emerald Green/ Green Flash Edition Camaro Thread

Mine currently has a CAI intake. I plan on getting 3.91 gears put in. Down the road, some long tube headers, but I will keep the NPP exhaust, it's so badass!! That's about it for mine! Plus I put narrow Stainless inserts on my gills, that all for the chrome. Prbly gonna paint the strut tower and engine cover sides Emerald Green.

I've done a few mods to my GF:
Solo Mach XL cat-back exhaust
Kooks stepped headers
Mighty Mouse Catch Can
ADM race CAI w/race scoop
Roto-fab ww relocation
Tune by Black Bear Performance
Strut Tower Brace

Only items remaining on my list are Ghosted Sidemarkers from Showstopper (they confirmed they can do Emerald Green), and some paint on the brace and engine cover. I've saved all of the take off parts so I can return to stock if needed.

Heck, I recently visited my local Chevy dealer to look at trucks, and I just so happened to take the Camaro that day. I pulled in and the salesman came out to greet me. He inquired about the car and insisted the car was not a GM color and the wheels were after market.

Cars shows are the best I think. Rarely do I get to walk around and look at other cars because everyone gathers around mine to ask questions. So, I am happy to be among other owners who have similar experiences.

Anyway, I have owned my car for a little over a year now I guess. It's a coupe, 6 speed manual and NPP exhaust (Yes I love the way it sounds). I have attached a few pics and the window sticker to provide some info. I'm waiting on a build sheet now but I'll get that info up here as well.

My car was purchased in Northern VA, but I am located in West Virginia. I haven't seen any others around here just as other members have not seen many or any at all.

Looking forward to hearing more stories and finding put more about this car.
This is interesting. Your sticker shows the painted hood insert as a $400 option but it was part of the green flash package (at least on my sticker). Also notice that your front splitter isn't installed. I saw 2 at dealers that didn't have the splitter and they told me they hadn't installed them during pdi. Did you ask to keep it off?

Shame KBB and NADA don't reference the green flash package as an option. We are going to have the same issues as the dusk/spring editions if we ever want to sell.

Guess that's a good reason to keep it forever!

Yes, I noticed that as well. I even called the dealer about getting the splitter as all the others I have seen had it installed. I didn't notice the the hood inset though. I too thought it was part of the package, not dealer installed. I think someone tried to pull a fast one but how would you ever know?

Oh well, i didn't plan to get rid of it anyway. I'm looking forward to making it a beast actually.

Have any of you noticed any paint issues on your vehicles? I don't really drive mine much and it stays in the garage. But I have noticed that the paint on my car is filled with swirl marks and water spots. I wish i had looked closer when I purchased the car, but it was dusty from sitting on the lot and would not have shown the imperfections. When i picked it up, it was dark and I wouldn't have noticed them anyway.

I don't think this is anything that I can't fix with a good dual action polisher and compound though. Just thought I'd through that out there as this color green seems to emphasize the smallest of issues in this paint.

I'll see if I can take some pictures and upload them for you so you can check your cars as well. I'll let you know how mine comes out. This should be fun lol

I'd say a good claying was in order. If that doesn't take care of the problem then a good detail shop should be able to help you. Love the color on these Camaros.

There's a few imperfections in mine, but nothing major. But, mine was a direct order from the factory, may have been the first one delivered to PA in April 2015.

Welcome to the Green Flash Club!! I believe you are the first from the UK! Yours is a twin to mine, very rare indeed. Here is the thread with the build counts, see post #173

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...315223&page=13

No breakdown as manual vs. automatics, but since more than half are usually automatics, we can safely assume that ours are one of about 40 I think.

Your pictures do not show, however.
Happy motoring!!

My GF had a lot of swirls and scratched as well. Considering that mine was 10 mos old by the time I purchased, I'm sure it had been improperly washed/dryed a dozen times. I clayed, compounded, polished, and then finished with Blackfire Midnight Sun Wet Diamond sealant. Being such a dark shade of green it does show dirt and dust almost as bad as a black car. But when she's clean and shiny, she's a head turner!
