It seems that we will be flying in to the ATL and thurs night and picking up a rental then heading down to the fest from there, may meet up with you guys depending on what we end up doing... Still in the planning stages right now...

I think the MapQuest points to OnStar (eNav & Virtual Advisor) only works if you have minutes on your OnStar plan (I don't) as well as the turn-by-turn nav which probably most will still have in April. I'm sure Jason will have directions worked up for us.

I think radios/walkie-talkies would be a good idea.

Are you going down to GA for the meet? If so... would you like to join some of us from Chicago to drive down together?

For those who plan to attend the 1st Annual Camaro5 Fest I am starting to plan for the road trip to Valdosta.

Here is the tentative route and plans.

-7:00am-7:15am meet anyone in Orlando or heading up from the south at the Turkey Lake Service Plaza pull out and head up the Turnpike to I75 to the Ocala rest stop.
-8:15am-9:00am meet up with others at the rest stop from the West Coast and other parts of Central Florida we will pull out at 9am and head to Crackle Barrel for breakfast (plenty of parking in the back lot for the Camaros and trailers).
-10:30am Anyone who could not meet up at the rest area or Breakfast can meet us here and we can pull out together and it the road.

Travel time to the host hotel from Crackle Barrel is approx 2.5 hours

FIRST Rally Point: N. TX Caravan pulls into Shreveport LA at 1130! Gas, food, stretch, etc!
SECOND Rally Point: N. TX Caravan pulls into Alexandria LA at 130pm! Lunch for 1 hour; leave at 2:30pm.
THIRD Rally Point: N. TX Caravan pulls into Lafayette LA at 4pm, exit 110, IH 10 E to rally, eat, tell some lies!!

CARAVAN MERGES: Lafayette LA around 4pm!! We'll gas up, eat, and stretch our legs some and then to Biloxi via IH 10 to IH 12 and merge back onto IH 10 (this is the Baton Rouge exit for IH 12).

DAY 2
Route of Travel Day 2 (16 Apr 10): Meet at 815AM in parking garage at Grand Casino Hotel and Resort, pull out at 830AM to I-10 east on our way to C5F!! Arrive at C5F around 4pm for sign in!

If you want to rally with the group be at the Grand at 830AM or as we head up 110 to hit IH 10, join in there! We'll stop mid-way at exit 56 (in Florida) (11 am) off of I-10 in Crestview. Several choices for food and gas...On the southside of I-10 there is Hooters, Cracker Barrel, Arby's, Waffle house, Wendys, Whataburger, Hardees and Exxon for gas as well as Tom Thumb. On the northside of I-10 there is Applebees, Burger King, Ryan Steak House, Taco Bell and Mobil for gas. There is a Walmart as well. Everything is within .3 of a mile from each other. We'll rally again at the WalMart at 1230 to pull out!

From Biloxi to Crestview is 156 miles about 2.5 hrs away and we'll pull in at 11am and then pull out at 1230pm. Crestview to Valdosta is 220 miles and 3.3 hrs away...should hit C5F right at 4pm for registration!

LET THE PARTY BEGIN!!!!!

West Texas/New Mexico Caravan to C5Fest

To all Owners from West Texas/New Mexico that are planning on attending the C5Fest in April. I am planning on leaving in the morning on April 14th. I will be staying overnight in San Antonio, TX. Meet up with the San Antonio Crew in the Morning and then drive into Houston, and meet op with their group for lunch. Everyone will then drive into Biloxi, MS and stay overnight in the Grand Biloxi Resort and Casino. Then everyone will depart in the morning of April 16th and finish the drive into Valdosta, GA for check-in around 3-4 PM.

Please post if you plan on attending and want to caravan to the C5Fest as a group.
