WTF happened in here over night. I leave the thread and now everyone is in a big circle jerk. This isn't very entertaining.

I'll bet that's a low estimate. You probably have spent half of that on bottle fills alone. The good thing is I'll bet there are a lot more used performance parts bargains for the GTO than the Camaro. I can't wait till used headers start popping up.

SK360.
If I am in the market for a sports car the looks of it is one of the most important things. And no I would never buy a v6 camaro. The car has to have a combination of things for me to be interested. If it passes the looks checklist then I move on to performance, if it passes that I look at the next aspect etc etc..... I guess that is wrong? Do I need to start buying stuff I dont like? Should I start buying cars that are fast and boring looking? that is not what I am into....sorry man. I almost didnt buy my 4th gen because it was so bland (not nearly as bad as a GTO IMO). But they can look good enough after a few touches. And I wouldnt buy a mustang. The trans-ams were higher priced...etc etc...I decided on the camaro at the time. This is my opinion. Some people may think that the GTO looks better than a camaro. I could care less. I drive what I want to drive. LS2 goat. I currently drive a 2000 silverado 4x4 regular cab short bed with 111000 miles on it. I have previously owned a 1998 camaro z28, a 1992 camaro RS. I have also owned a 1995 ford contour. Anything else? |

When did I ever call it the worst car ever made?
I have only said I didnt prefer the looks of it and that the camaro is faster stock for stock. This is just getting sad now . If someone buys a car because they like the looks of it they are boy racers? and as far as retro styling goes....umm I guess it could be considered retro...but lots of others wouldnt agree. And either way I guess I wouldnt consider that a bad thing...so...um yeah I respect the GTO for what it is. I would buy it over a mustang, challenger, or import any day. But no way in hell I would choose it over the camaro when I have a choice. Sorry buddy Stop crying because I dont like the looks of your car. |

Your hood and front fascia ... a direct result of the GTO Woodward concept car and the RA6. All they did was move the scoops up. That black GTO ... well thats mine ... with the concept hood.

Good point GTO1 the GTO gets the same awe and wow as any other muscle car I have ever owned,I get people all the time, snaping photos, making videos of my car,the ride ,braking and performance far percedes any other cars I have drove, the leg room is better then the camaro, also Ive driven a 2009 Z06 vette, leg room and comfort in the GTO wins hands down.I know they copied alot of what the camaro has from our GTO.we all like GM who cares, pick on the ford guys or mopars ..now them some ugly cars!
