Relocation tips
Can anyone give me some hints on moving the ABS and fuse box? Locations? How to route? Where to cut, etc. I would really appreciate it as I only have the ABS mount to take off now. Thanks!

On the brakes:
Save the bracket that the ABS bolts to. I took some angle pieces and made a little table and welded it to the car where the filter box goes. Some tips I got for you is buy nicop (nickle/copper) brake lines, they are so easy to bend and will not corrode. I first used steel ones from O Rielly's, I ended up finding nicop online and also at my local Arnold's. Also I will post a video of some AN fittings and bulk head fittings that I discovered on this video. If you have some exposed areas the the nicop looks pretty trick too. Also I did buy some nice aluminum brackets for the brake lines. When attaching the brackets a rivet gun is awesome instead of using self taping screws. They show all that in the video and I got all the stuff from Jegs and Summit. Lastly really sit back and think where you want stuff and what is your pain tolerance on maintenance. At first I had all the time in the world and I had all this stuff in the filter area. Bad part is that I had to take the whole panel off to change a fuse or anything. I have moved the ABS twice and fuse box twice. If I did it over again I would have done now. I have the ABS in the filter area and my fuse box in the glovebox. I cut each "plug" from the fuse box and passed them thru the passenger side and then soldered them back together in the car. Make sure if you are going to do that really think that you need to do. You will need a new battery cable as the old one will not be long enough now. (can show pictures later). Make sure to label each plug and then do each plug at a time not all at the same time as your labels will fall off and get confused. |

Thanks for that Krusher. Very helpful, and I do hope you add more photos. I thought about putting both in the filter hole. I already have the NiCo line, just waiting on fittings now. How do the wires pass through the passenger side to the glove box? I haven't looked that hard since tonight I am finishing plugging up the holes drilled out on the passenger side. Thanks again! Much appreciated

here is my bay all finished Fuse box cable routing: battery cable routing from back to glove box. I had to cut a small notch out of the glove box to route correctly. I took the back seat out and a few of these side panels to route the cable. Brake line was ran from booster thru the cowl and had the ABS in the corner of the filter box. I also had the wire loom that went to the connector by the brake booster rerouted thru the cowl to clean the entire firewall as well. |

Thanks for that. That is REAL CLEAN. Good job.
What size fittings are those? Flared? Bubble? I am so confused now. I don't know if they are metric (m10 x 1) or the 24 pitch. lol Does the filter housing front just unbolt or did you cut it? |

The AN fittings I chose for the bulk head fittings are a single flare 37 degree flare which is different than the regular double flare stuff. Below is an example of it. If you watch the youtube video I posted they have an example of the AN fittings. The ones you need are -3 and -4 AN fittings if that is the route you want to take. https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Speed...Nuts,4149.html |

I can take a picture if you need, but I just terminated it to the positive post right on top of the other battery cable so I have two cables connected to the positive terminal and then there is a channel that it rides in, you can see when you pull your trunk carpet up. The coil packs are in the most painful spot imaginable, but it was the only place that was out of the way. They are mounted to the K member just in front of the oil pan. I then have them going to the spark plugs going up through the headers, but I have a 90 degree boot on them to hide them from the headers and direct it below the engine. This is not my engine below, but this is the look I went for, very clean not having the coil packs visible. The pain full thing is its is REALLY low and very tight. |

I think going with gunmetal satin grey on the headers would be a knock out, although they look pretty good now. Post a follow up pic if you do change them. GREAT job on hiding the coil packs

I really like the contrast in colors too. I am just doing the boring body color. lol.
Does the cabin air filter front just unbolt? Or did you cut it? TIA |

The cover has two studs on the fire wall and originally one stud on the fender. It stuck out like a sore thumb so i cut it drilled it out and installed a rivetnut and chrome bolt. There is also a bolt near the top of the fender

Other thing I did was weld the seam together and ground the pinch weld and studs off and filled the cavities with a skim coat of bondo to smooth it all out

Do you remember how the plastic cabin filter holder comes off? Looks like it will pop off, but I don't want to break anything
