I get that at times when it's really sunny and the sun is directly towards the camera. Do you also get it in in direct light and shade?

How come no one ever said that the sunlight may cause this artifact? Would have saved me time and effort taking half of it in and out. It just may be the sunlight cause it comes and goes. Anyways, Ofer is being great and helping me thru this......gonna try another mirror and harness just to be safe.

Out of curiosity have you ever used a Camera before? Every camera will do this because of the shape of the lens....

The second bracket is the one to fill the hole in the bumper, the camera screws in to that one.

Just got my mirror & harness and I'm having a bit of a problem with the install (I already PM'd Ofer about it, just wanted to throw it out there for general opinions). While trying to bench-test, there is NO power coming through to the mirror. I have a 2011 1LT/RS...the harness fits, but nothing lights up...car on, in reverse, etc. The guy who's helping me install it even attached it to his 2010 SS to try it out, and he can't get power either. The OnStar comes on right away on our stock mirrors, but not the new one. So I'm thinking possibly some wires got crossed, possibly just a bad harness? Anyone have any ideas?

How exactly are you bench testing? I remember I tried bench testing mine and it did not work. I tried it in my garage hooked up to a battery. I contacted Ofer about the problem and he told me it wouldn't work that way. Everything needs to be hooked up to the car in order for it to work. So if you're using an external power source, use the cars' instead.

Yeah, tried that. Turned the car on, put it in reverse, nothing. We've been following the DIY to the letter...

I am on the way to camaro fest, if it does not work like i said send me back the one harness and i will ship you a new one when i get back on the 9th.
