Not unless the ZL1 cuts a better 60ft than the GT500. If anybody thinks they are going to be able to go out consistently cut 1.7x 60ft times on the stock tires, they are going to be disappointed. Just look at the trap speed.

Looking at all the runs by individuals and testers, it looks like this is about as close a drivers race as any as much as neither side wants to admit it. Both cars have now run 11.9x stock and both have private owners running bottom 12s constantly.

I would give the edge to the zl1 with average drivers though because of launch control. Most people can't drive.

Thats impossible, everyone here knows that GT500s only run mid to high 12s because they spin the stock tires all the way to 100 mph.

I know, but its all good. Iceing the blower most likely didnt do squat anyway. By the time I got to run, the car was already running for more than a minute anyway. Im going to the track again to do some heat soaked runs and see wht it will do. LOL.

What do you mean by that? Faster than their own personal time without launch control or faster than the 11.9? I think your average driver is going to be new to drag racing and have no idea how to handle the power.

Its NOT easy. LOL. I would love to get into the 11's the way the car comes from the factory but its just to hot right now and its not gonna get any cooler. By the time it gets cooler out I will already have the ported TVS blower on it.
